Upcycled Summer Shirt by Heidi and Seek

Last month, I wrote about upcycling, what it means, and why it’s important. To summarize, briefly, upcycling means using what could easily become trash by making it into something useful. The piece below is made out of a second hand shirt and factory remnant fabric, but the design and style are original and new.

il_fullxfull79019065I love the way the floral pattern on the accents pops against the bright blue, and the army green ruffles are an adorable touch. This is a sweet summer top to wear, and one that is kind to the environment. Available for $45 from Heidi and Seek.
