Vivienne Westwood: Crazy as Ever

Vivienne Westwood, one of my most favorite fashion designers, is known for her punky and daring designs for ages, but her own personal look is questionable at times. Her signature strawberry blonde hair and ever spunkier personal style has me thinking that she may just be on the right side of crazy genius.

However, this look from the UK premier of the critically acclaimed (and I cannot wait to see!) documentary, Burma VJ has my head spinning. What is the deal with that head piece? And if you’re going to wear some type of crazy hat thing shouldn’t you do something with your hair? I think the icing on the cake, though, is the lipstick. That bright red may be great for the summer beach party, but for my adorable Ms. Westwood, this just isn’t cutting it for me.

I wish I could have seen the whole ensemble, then blouse she has on looks like it could have been chic, but I can’t tell. I’ll just have to give her the benefit of the doubt and continue to covet her designs.

The real truth of the matter is, it doesn’t matter how somebody looks, do it? It just matters how they work right?
