Waterford Lismore Perfume

waterford.jpgA cool idea sometimes comes from a weird place.  I always feel really sad when I’ve finished a perfume bottle.  Most are not refillable, re-useable or recyclable, and there’s not much to do but throw them out (unless you collect such things).   The perfume is in a crystal bottle,  and after it’s empty the sprayer unscrews and there is a silver ring that goes in its place.   Then it can be used for a bud vase!

Most perfumes, especially designer scents sold in department stores, are crimped shut to prevent unscrupulous buyers from refilling genuine bottles with fake perfume, and reselling them on the black/grey market.  I’m not quite sure how this would work in the mainstream perfume industry, but as a niche product it’s quite a good idea.  What do you think?

Inspired by the legendary Lismore pattern, this radiant, soft and feminine fragrance features multi-faceted florals, including rose, water lily, fressia and jasmine sambac.

Blended with sensual notes of violet, patchouli, musk and vanilla, Waterford Lismore is the embodiment of joy, love and laughter.

After enjoying the Lismore fragrance, unscrew the cap and replace with the Waterford-embossed ring to create a beautiful bud vase. Handmade.
