Wedding Shoes Worth Re-Wearing

It’s really unbelievable how often I start sentences with the phrase “in this economic climate” these days. Well, here I go again. In this economic climate, it seems insane to spend $700 on a pair of wedding shoes that you’re really only going to wear once. Why not invest in a pair of shoes that you will love and wear forever?
These totally dance worthy Tango pumps by Maison Martin Margiela are the kind of shoes that you reach for again and again. The white coated leather upper is sleek and retro, and the chic heel is thick and looks like it could walk you around for blocks or miles. The bonus is they’re totally on sale. Available for $298 from eLuxury.
These new Decoltissimo 85 pointed pumps by Christian Louboutin are about as classic as classic gets. Not to mention classy. The sexy, streamlined shape is perfect for under your gown, a night on the town, or a long day at the office. Plus, who can resist that trademark red sole? Not me. Available for $645 from Net-A-Porter.
Model number E90004 by Giuseppe Zanotti really should get a better name. I mean, a sandal as interesting as this at least deserves something better than a number. I know it’s a little bit of an unusual choice for bridalwear, but if you’re a quirky kind of girl, I know you can pull it off. The rhinestoned spines of fish might not be for everyone, but they would add a touch of humor, not to mention sparkle, to your wedding ensemble. Available for $796 from Zappos Couture.
