Weekend Etsy Picks

Wool socks have gotten a bad rap over the years – especially if you were forced into a scratchy pair as a child!

Sock yarn has come a long way since then, turning hand-knitted socks into a comfy, cozy experience.  They’ll keep your toes warm, look awesome in the process and most of them can even been machine washed.

You can find hundreds of hand-knitted or crocheted socks from the talented designers on Etsy.

This particular pair is by Knitty Knitty Bang Bang and have been knitted using a combination of soft, washable wool and nylon.

Or if those are a little too bright for you…

How about a more restrained color palette from Lama Works?   These particular socks are washable and made from a combination of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon – and are custom-sized to fit your feet.  Lama Works is also donating the proceeds of the sale to the American Cancer Society.

If you like your socks on the shorter side, Ellen Katherine Designs knits ankle socks from a super soft combination of stretchy wool and cotton (although these are a recommended hand-wash).
