What Do We Think About This Tunic?

This silky top from Lane Bryant has me saying “Good or Gross?” because it’s just so unusual that I can’t stop going back to look at it. According to the description, it has “leather confetti” and “seed bead detailing” at the neck, which is confusing until you zoom up closer and take a look at the pic again. There are tiny leather dots and squares all over the u-shaped neck secured by beads, and it almost has an African vibe on second glance. You’ll get extra shape from that sash tie that ties along the waist in brown.
That juicy fruit color is just what we need to add extra style for summer, so on second thought, I’m sold. $50.
It is available up to size 28.
I have a couple of problems with this garment. I like the colors, but I think the pattern is busy, and the horizontal striping is in an unfortunately unflattering place. Also, the slim tie doesn’t really work for me on or of this silky material. This is a garment begging for structure, but not getting it. Aside from waify models, I’m not sure who it would actually flatter, and I’m pretty sure that they wouldn’t want to wear it anyways.
