Which Comes First? Shoes VS Dresses

I’m the kind of girl that spends a lot of time thinking about, shopping for, and fantasizing about shoes. As such, I often look for dresses to go with shoes I a)already have or b)want to buy, but need a justification for. In the case of the Louboutin Peplum T-Bar Sandals, I had seen a few dresses that were interesting to me, but none of them really made sense until I saw those shoes. Which got me wondering…which comes first for you, the shoes or the dress? I know, this is one of those chicken-and-egg situations, and there may never be consensus, but I’d like to hear how you go about approaching this age-old dilemma.

I have to say – it really depends on the outfit! I’ve bought shoes just because I loved them, and came up with an outfit later. Of course, there are those of us who will put an outfit together around a purse…

I’m with you. Although, in general, my whole life seems to revolve around shoes, sometimes I work backwards. Especially when it comes to formal wear, when the dress is oh-so-important, and the shoes sometimes can’t even be seen except for a few brief moments on the dancefloor. And, don’t even get me started on purses!

For me Tracey, it all depends on the situation. Sometimes the shoes are already in the closet and a good fit for the situation, and other times I really just need a brand new outfit!
Haha! I ALWAYS seem to need a brand new outfit.
