Will You Get A Christmas Engagement Ring?

Christmas is the second most popular day of the year to get engaged, second only to Valentine’s Day on the number of people who get engaged on that date every year.

I have to tell you I got engaged on Christmas day, and my now husband had me totally fooled until he pulled out the ring. I went to Christmas at his house and he gave me a present in front of his family. Later when we were alone (and I was rushing him to get to my parents) he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring.

I’ve heard some people say they would prefer not to get engaged on a holiday, or a big day. They would rather their engagement be a special day itself.

I thought it was wonderful when my husband proposed on Christmas day. What do you think would you prefer to be proposed to on a major holiday like Christmas or Valentine’s Day, or would you prefer your engagement day had a special day all of its own?
