Would You Buy Your Wedding Gown Online?

Would you (or did you) purchase your wedding gown online? There are some pros to purchasing your gown online, or through an online bridal store.

  • You have a broader selection than your local bridal shops.
  • You can usually get a better price on the dress of your choice.

The cons of buying your wedding gown online?

  • You won’t get to try the dress on before you buy it.
  • You don’t have a bridal gown professional helping you pick the dress that looks the best on you.
  • You may end up taking your own measurements, having a friend take your measurement or paying a fee to have a local bridal shop take your measurements.
  • If there’s a problem with your dress you don’t have someone face to face to discuss it with. You will be talking long distance on the phone, or even through email.

If you find your dream gown online the pros may outweigh the cons, but you may want to think hard before you order a wedding gown without even having the opportunity to try it on.
