Katherine Heigl knows how to pull on a pair of flashy heels for a red carpet appearance, but she also knows how to rock the casual shoes when she’s out running errands.

While busting about with her mother, Katherine was spotted wearing jeans, a plain shirt, a simple shawl, and some very cute red running shoes.

The truth is, no matter how great good heels can make your legs look, it just makes more sense to go for comfort if you’re not in a situation where you need to dress up. Adding a little kick of color with this vibrant red more than makes up for being casual, believe me!

Fergie’s big bold ring

Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas is never one to shy away from a bold fashion statement, and that can be seen very clearly as she poses here with Will.I.Am at the Vip Room in Paris.

Check out that ring! It’s almost like a big animal claw isn’t it? Between the size and the way it tapers into a really serious point, that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw it!

I don’t think I have the personality to wear something so big and daring myself – although I like big pendants sometimes, my rings tend to be more on the understated side. If you have a Fergie personality though, someone adventurous and unapologetic, you might be able to pull off a piece like this.

Hot or Not? Kristen Stewart, premiere style

I’m going to be honest (and risk the wrath of many fans) by admitting that there are many times that I’ve seen Kristen Stewart on the red carpet or other events and I’ve wondered what she was thinking when she chose her outfit that day. The girl has made some very crazy and questionable fashion choices.

However, at the New Moon premiere in Los Angeles, that was certainly not the case. Kristen stood on the red carpet looking like a beautiful princess in a very pretty Oscar de la Renta strapless gown. She looked stunning!

Selena Gomez dazzles in white

Selena Gomez looked very pretty at the recent TV Guide Hot List party. She wore a nice little white mini-dress by Twenty Cluny but the short length wasn’t too much.

If you’re heading out on the town and want to dress like Selena, you can balance the simple cut and style of this dress by adding some dangling earrings and a sparkling bracelet as she did. The neckline makes it so that you don’t even really need a necklace, although if you want to wear one you’d be best off wearing one that’s long enough to hang down quite a bit.

Kate Beckinsale’s black clutch

Kate Beckinsale attended the Museum of Contemporary Arts gala over the weekend and dressed the part of a woman checking out fine art. She wore a shiny green one-shoulder gown and carried her essentials in a tiny little black clutch.

A clutch is the perfect way to carry a bit of cash (or a credit card), some lip gloss, and your keys without having to lug around a huge purse. Big handbags are awesome but they’d look totally out of place with a fancy gown. Kate chose the Jenny Packham “Baguette” clutch for her evening at the museum.

Rihanna keeps warm with a trapper’s hat

The chill of winter is in the air throughout parts of the Northern Hempisphere, and London can attest to that. Luckily, despite the cold, Rihanna kept her head toasty warm by wearing a furry (faux I hope!) trapper’s hat while she was visiting.

A trappers’s hat isn’t necessarily what you’d expect to see on a stylish woman like Rihanna but she makes it look good. Besides, those things are perfect for keeping your ears and forehead from feeling like they’re about to fall right off your body.

All you have to do is listen in on teenage girls having style conversations to know they want to know what Miley Cyrus is wearing.

It’s definitely her clothes – girls want to dress like Miley, that’s for sure! However there’s also a lot of curiosity about what kind of makeup she wears. Although Miley wears a lot of makeup on stage and in her videos it’s because of the lights. The actual look itself is generally something that any young girl could wear to a dance or a party.

And speaking of party, Miley’s look in “Party in the USA” is a very popular one. Would you like to figure out how to get the same makeup?

Carrie Underwood is pretty in paisley

When Carrie Underwood arrived at the studios to tape a visit for the Late Show with David Letterman , it wasn’t just her mega-watt smile that caught my attention.

Carrie was also wearing a very pretty top with a paisley print on it. I love the cream color and the design. Even though it’s metallic it isn’t overkill because the print really softens it up. Half the time I love what Carrie wears and half the time I’m wondering what she was thinking but in this case, I’m all over her top!

Fergie joins the thigh-high club!

Fergie was in London this week and as she always does, she showed off some particularly killer style while walking to do a performance for BBC.

Not content to just wear a pair of regular chic boots, Fergie went for the super eye-catching look by wearing a pair of shiny thigh high boots with high heels. Between the height, the length, and the patent leather, you couldn’t miss them!

I don’t think I have the guts – or the long legs – to pull off wearing thigh high boots without making people think I’m a hooker but if you have been blessed with the gift of height as well as fit legs (and a lot of confidence would help too!) you can go all the way and have some fun with your footwear like Fergie.

Selena Gomez sparkles at Hot List party

Last night Selena Gomez shone in well-coordinated accessories when she attended the TV Guide Hot List Party. She looked great in a simple, short white dress and set it off with a whole lot of delicate sparkling.

Selena is apparently quite a Swarovski fan and she showed it by wearing their earrings, bangle, and carrying their clutch.

Sparkle like Selena …

Dangling from her ears, Selena wore the Swarovski Hazel earrings which you can purchase over here for $100.

Meanwhile, she drew attention to her wrists with a Hybrid bangle which is for sale here for $160.
