Good news, “Gossip Girl” fans — Anna Sui is designing a fall line for Target inspired by the show!

Anna Sui, known for her cool, hip youth-centric clothes – took the posh fashions of Blair, Serena, Jenny and Vanessa as the inspiration for a new line at the discount retailer.

When I was in Asia last year, all the young girls kept asking me about the different locations in New York City where the characters from ‘Gossip Girl’ live,” Anna told Women’s Wear Daily on Wednesday.

I have always been a fan of designer partnerships with mass retailers. I think it is a great way to bring fashion to everyone,” Anna said. “It is an exciting challenge to try and interpret my aesthetic into a mass-produced product with a specific international source as the focus.

Gossip Girl starlet Jessica Szohr is already a fan of the designer! “I’m a big fan of Anna Sui and I became a fan of hers through working on the show,” she explained. “Every time I’d be in a fitting and try something on, they would tell me [it was] her. I like her.

The line will to hit 250 select Target Stores across the U.S. on September 13 and run through October 17.

  1. I think that it’s appropriate for teenagers to shop at Target instead of Hermes or Dior.

By doing this, Gossip Girl is showing ther fans that shopping in an age-appropriate store like Target. This kind of move will show kids that buying more affordable clothes.

This is an important message in this recessionary economy!
