All you have to do is listen in on teenage girls having style conversations to know they want to know what Miley Cyrus is wearing.

It’s definitely her clothes – girls want to dress like Miley, that’s for sure! However there’s also a lot of curiosity about what kind of makeup she wears. Although Miley wears a lot of makeup on stage and in her videos it’s because of the lights. The actual look itself is generally something that any young girl could wear to a dance or a party.

And speaking of party, Miley’s look in “Party in the USA” is a very popular one. Would you like to figure out how to get the same makeup?

I love this girl’s makeup tutorials, she’s really good at it and takes her time to explain all the steps. She also has a pug and you can almost always hear him snoring in the background while she’s talking – it’s hilarious but it shows that you really can achieve this look if you’re just a regular person – you don’t need to be a rich celebrity getting your cosmetics done for you!

Christina Aguilera’s Moulin Rouge makeup

Remember back in 2001 when Christina Aguilera teamed up with Pink, Mya, and Lil Kim to do “Moulin Rouge”? It was pretty amazing and the girls went all out to get the old-fashioned burlesque look just right.

While Christina’s makeup is certainly not something the average person would copy on a day to day basis (it might not go over well at the office is what I’m saying!) I thought that with Halloween being here and everyone dressing up for parties and outings, this would be a good time for a brilliant makeup tutorial.

With the right shades of makeup, a blond wig, and a few key accessories, this YouTube user demonstrates how anyone can look very much like Christina Aguilera in “Moulin Rouge”, perfect for your provocative party outfit!

I kind of love the rhinestone eyelashes. They’re so tacky but that totally works for Halloween!

Leona Lewis’ “Happy” makeup look

Leona Lewis went from being completely unknown to being an overnight world sensation thanks to her incredible efforts on the hit show X-Factor. She performed her song “Happy” on an episode of America’s Got Talent and not only did she sound incredible, she also looked utterly gorgeous.

Her makeup look was a bit of a trademark, it’s a look that she re-creates regularly, involving a nice blue shadow and some liner. It ends up being a very beautiful style that draws a lot of attention to her eyes but it’s not so over-the-top that you would feel ridiculous creating it on your own face.

Angelina Jolie’s cat’s eye makeup

Angelina Jolie is a gorgeous woman even when she’s not wearing makeup. However, her trademark look when she does wear makeup is to keep the lips simple and neutral – she has amazing lips, she doesn’t need to do much with them! – and she makes her eyes dramatic, often with “cat’s eye” liner.

This look is actually quite simple once you get the hang of it, but if it’s something you aren’t used to, you might want a bit of guidance. It’s the perfect look for evenings.

As I said, it’s not too difficult to learn, but I really think that this is the single best makeup tutorial that I’ve seen when it comes to replicating Angelina’s look. The makeup artist is insanely good and has it down to a fine art. Check it out:

Doesn’t she look spectacular? With the addition of the similar hair style it’s not hard to tell which actress she’s copying!

I went to my sister’s wedding last weekend and had the makeup woman give me a very similar look, and it was wonderful. Give it a try and let me know how it works out!

Tutorial: Jennifer Aniston’s natural makeup

Jennifer Aniston is a very beautiful girl and what’s especially nice about her style is that she doesn’t over-do it. She tends to use very natural shades of makeup and always looks fresh and polished.

The best thing about Jenn’s look is that it’s very easy to re-create. I personally love a dramatic, smoky eye but if you don’t do it right (and for a long time I didn’t!) it can end up looking like you’re taking style tips from a raccoon. With such a natural look, it’s quite simple to mimic Jennifer’s technique.

This video is perfect because it’s not too long, doesn’t involve too many different steps, and it also shows you suggestions for the colors you’ll need and which type of applicator brushes to use.

It looks straightforward enough to me – I think I’ll use if for my weekend look myself, how about you?

Twilight makeup line!

Are you a fan of the Twilight movie? I know that I am, and I must say that the marketing brain behind this new product is an absolute genius. If you also happen to like make-up, you need to know about the new Twilight Beauty cosmetics brand that will be coming out this fall.

While the make-up can’t guarantee to make you look like Bella Swan or Edward Cullen, the products are all inspired by the movie. The brand is going to include about 70 different items – eye shadow, mascara, lip gloss, and more!

Not only can you purchase Twilight-inspired make-up, they even created two distinct lines in keeping with the story line. For a premium price you can buy make-up from the Luna Twilight line which was inspired by all the good in the Cullen vampires.

On the other hand, you can also get the less pricey Volturi Twilight line, complete with the Volturi logo as seen on the pink lip gloss above. The thought of bubblegum pink being associated with the Volturi is a little funny to me – can you imagine a character like Jane of the Volturi skulking around Italy in that?

I would have thought it would make more sense to create a Volturi line that has a lot of dark, rich colors while saving the lighter everyday make-up shades for the Luna Twilight line, but regardless the whole thing is a whole lot of fun.

It may be borderline creepy to buy make-up inspired by a vampire love story but it’s also brilliant and will probably fly off the shelves as fast as fans can whip out their wallets!

Megan Fox – Her makeup look

Throughout the promotion of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, everyone was talking about Megan Fox and her fabulous dresses that she wore to premieres. She definitely looked stunning, but another thing that I’ve noticed about her is that her makeup is flawless without being overdone.

Megan’s makeup look is the kind I would use for a special event like a wedding or a fancy black tie party. I like when makeup enhances what someone already has.

I’m actually going to my sister’s wedding in a few weeks and we’re getting our makeup done professionally – I already have a few Megan Fox pictures printed up to bring with me to show them the look that I want. It won’t make me look like Megan of course, but this is a look that will work for a lot of people!

Tori Spelling unveils new Q-Tip Vanity Pack

Celebrities are fun to follow for fashion purposes, but sometimes style can go beyond what you’re wearing. If you wear make-up, you already know how much value a simple Q-Tip can hold. I use mine regularly, mostly for smudging purposes or to wipe away makeup that ended up where it shouldn’t me (like mascara on my brow bone!). However, I keep mine in my vanity cupboard because a big cardboard box of Q-Tips doesn’t really work on my bathroom counter.

Tori Spelling was at Macy’s this week to launch the new Q-Tip Vanity Pack which gives you the same Q-Tips that you’re used to buying and using, except they come in cute little packs that aren’t enormous and don’t look ugly sitting on your dresser or bathroom counter.

Each vanity pack is small enough to not take over your space but there are still 285 Q-tips packed in there. I know that not everyone really cares about packaging, but I actually like when I can buy things in cute little nicely-designed packages that can sit out and be a part of the decor. Angelina Jolie’s perfect cat’s eye makeup

Angelina Jolie is arguably the most anticipated woman on the red carpet at pretty much any event. Everyone always wants to see what – and who – she’s wearing. But beautiful dresses aside, it bears noting that Angie also always has great makeup, especially on her eyes which are usually dramatic without being over the top.

That photo is from the Golden Globes two years ago, but the look still stands. She uses it very frequently and it always seems to be in style. Luckily, it’s not too hard to pull it off either.

I think she did a great job and she showed that it’s definitely wearable for non-celebrities. You may not want to do this look for the beach, but for an evening out, why not?!

Anne Hathway’s Oscar makeup

I know that the Academy Awards were quite awhile back but what I love about seeing the A-listers on the red carpet is that there’s often a timeless quality about their style, especially someone like Anne Hathaway.

Now Anne had a particularly lovely gown, but what I wanted to share with you this weekend was how to get her beautiful, classic makeup look instead. I figure it’s a good time for it – it would be perfect if you have an evening planned out on the town for dinner or dancing, or both! It would even look good for a party because it’s not too over the top.

I can not say enough good things about the lovely girl behind this video. She has a huge collection of videos in her channel teaching people how to re-create a variety of celebrity looks. She’s very talented and a lot of fun to watch. She makes it look so easy that I think anyone (even me!) could learn how to apply makeup to duplicate Anne’s great eyes on Oscar night.

(There’s some hilarious snoring in her video at one point – she has a pug who often makes an audio appearance in her tutorials!)

I think I’m going to give this one a try for my next night out, what about you?
