I don’t believe in blowing off celebrities (or people in general for that matter) just because they might be young. While it’s easy to hold on to the icons of Hollywood glamor – people like Marilyn Monroe, Angelica Huston, Audrey Hepburn, Veronica Lake, and other women who paved the way for style – we have to remember that they were young once too. With that in mind I’d like to give you 5 young celebs with classic style.

I know that the Academy Awards were quite awhile back but what I love about seeing the A-listers on the red carpet is that there’s often a timeless quality about their style, especially someone like Anne Hathaway.

Looking at this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly initially has us saying, “Go, Anne!” Anne Hathaway has outdone herself with gorgeous makeup and hair, along with the hat that is fitting to her overall look. It is spot on. Beautiful.
Then we look a bit more at the cover and notice her squatting with her legs spread wide open. We wonder what prompted her to take this photo. Why didn’t it stop at the waist? Pictures of women with their legs spread wide open are so unflattering – no matter which magazine the photograph is for.

Last Thursday, Lancôme hosted a special screening of Get Smart with Anne Hathaway at the private Core Club in New York City.

Celebrity makeup artist Julie Harris did Anne’s makeup for the screening and gave us the scoop on how to recreate the look.
