With Breast Cancer Awareness month coming up, you can expect to see a lot more pink than you might normally spot on the streets. More and more products and clothing items are available in shades of pink or with pink ribbons emblazoned on them to help raise both awareness and funding for research to try to stamp out the disease.

TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

A lot of celebrities are proud to wear pink in the name of breast cancer research and you can see actresses like Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria, and Jessica Alba among others wearing t-shirts from Repeat Possessions, an online clothing shop that donates 10% of its sales to both the Susan G. Komen For the Cure and Divas For a Cure foundations.

PW_Destiny_Tee_White-2T The t-shirts come in a variety of colors both light and dark but they feature the highly recognizable pink ribbon so if you wear one, there will be no doubt that you fully support breast cancer victims and the research necessary to finally find a cure which will save so many people. They’re made from 100% cotton and some, such as the one to the left, are embellished with fun extras like rhinestones or glitter.

You can pick them up from their website for $46-$48. Generally that’s a bit more than I’ll pay for a t-shirt, but for a really good cause I can always make an exception.

On the topic of breast cancer awareness, I invite you to check out this video — ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/6789 — about a remarkable woman’s “aha moment” that led her to walk around the world for the cause. Literally. It’s a wonderful story, and it’s about a lot more than breast cancer. I know you’ll find it extremely inspiring.

    All the best,
