For some reason this reminds me of the “spa” in Zoolander, but I am quite sure this is an amazing place. I was sent some information about Ajune Spa several weeks ago that has been hiding in the depths of my inbox for a while now. Ajune is located in New York City, at 1294 Third Avenue, and is offering this grand sounding summertime bikini treatment called the Bikini Bottom Beautiful. I know this might sound a bit on the hairy side (no pun intended), but truly, this is a neglected area on all of us (the bottom and upper thighs), and this treatment just sounds marvelous to me. I wish I could whiz through Ajune before my cruise in October! Anyway, this is what Ajune says about the treatment:
The Bikini Bottom Beautiful, which takes 60 minutes and costs $150, is a three-step treatment that utilizes advanced technology to sculpt, smooth and tone buttocks, calves and thigh muscles.
First, an AJUNE aesthetician performs a bikini wax – an absolute must for bathing suit season! Next, the buttocks and thighs are exfoliated, via microdermabrasion, which softens the skin and leaves the backside “as smooth as a baby’s bottom.” Then, using Bio Gloves which transfer microcurrents to stimulate the thigh and buttock areas, the aesthetician increases circulation and lymphatic flow to muscles. This, in turn, sculpts the silhouette, revitalizing the skin’s natural elasticity, improving the regenerative process and leaving thighs and buttocks toned and tight. Finally, clients receive a full-body golden natural tan with AJUNE’s air brush tanning system. A blend of pure organic extracts, combined with a rich mixture of anti-oxidants, nourishes skin long after the tanning experience.
Yep, it is a facial for the hiney. Truly, this sounds marvelous to me.
I sure would love to hear from anyone who has had this treatment, or any other service that Ajune is offering for that matter. As for me, I will have to be satisfied with a not-nearly-as-great home treatment since I am nowhere near NYC. But we do all need a treatment like this for the summer, I think. Don’t you?
