Asian Beauty, Lily Chu

Though not entirely new to the entire blogging scene, I’m still quite new at the whole beauty blogging thing. I still can’t believe the sort of attention “we” get from the beauty industry. From getting offers for product samples to invitations to attend beauty events like the one I attended last night.

I still often ask myself what do I do in these sort of things. Will I really have the chance to get up close and personal with brand managers, product endorsers or even get to sample the product itself? Sadly, the answer to that is no. Not exactly. I’m just part of the crowd observing, checking out the spectacle that they’ve managed to put together. So, what can I actually bring to the table? I guess personal thoughts and a different angle. That’s all I can do, after all.

Pantene Host Lily Chu

One of the things that’s worth noting is the choice of people who’ve taken the stage. Apart from a lovely singer and harpist, the host for the night, Lily Chu, is their way of telling us who they consider beautiful. Lily mesmerised the crowd with her speaking voice. She is after all a DJ for a Philippine FM station, DWLL Mellow Touch 94.7.

Pantene, Lily Chu

The Pantene Pro V Dare to Get Wet Event revealed their secret to unbreakable beauty, the New Pantene Hairfall Control.

Watch out for more of Pantene’s Most Beautiful in later posts.

  1. [...] Lilly Chu was the host of the event that I was referring to on my last post. I can’t help but note something that caught my eye and style fancy. The gold band (belt?) on the high waist of her long ivory dress. Apart from the cowl neckline, twas the only detail you’ll see on it. No fancy lace or embroidery. The fabric wasn’t textured. I reckon it’s part of the dress and not an add-on. [...]
