I know that Christina is a huge Bare Escentuals fan, and that she uses their foundation regularly.
Case in point: I love, love, love the Bare Escentuals lip glosses, and the Buxom Polishes are truly some of my favorites.

Buxom Lips is simply a plumping lip gloss that is both pain free and natural. This formula is created with Vitamins A & E to keep lips soft and protected while it tingles and cools to plump lips up. I am love how this gloss fills in my lips with moderate plumping while not burning the heck out of them. The effect I feel while using this is more of a cooling one, almost like a bit of alcohol. Not bad at all. So if you are a bit of a wimp when it comes to lip plumper’s, you must give this mineral enriched baby a try. It is full of shimmering shine too.

Just in time for the Holidays, Bare Escentuals has an awesome gift set called the Buxom Babes. Buxom Babes is a set of all four of the Buxom Babe Lip Polished in mini-sizes. Perfect.

The collection includes Roxy which is a sheer scarlet red; Bianca, a golden peach; Bunny which is a vibrant melon – wore this one most of the Summer; and Dolly, a dusty mauve.

The full size Buxom Lips sell for $18, or you can pick up the Buxom Babes Holiday Collection, which is an exclusive to Sephora, for $28.

Are you a Buxom Babe wishing for this?

My eyebrow obsession is kept under control with some great products from the queen of eyebrows, Anastasia of Beverly Hills.

The first product I depend on is called Nu-Brow. Nu-Brow conditions your brows and helps get them growing faster. I know, we have all over-plucked or waxed off a little too much every now and then, now haven’t we? And, just because we may have become masters at filling in the sparse spaces doesn’t mean we have to stop there. Nu-Brow will help get them growing back to a beautifully arched brow in no time. Nu Brow is a clear gel made up of a blend of top proteins and vitamins to help condition, and stimulate hair growth to the eyebrow area. The gel is non-greasy and smoothes on with the brush-on applicator. And I can attest that it is very gentle. My freshly plucked (yes, in a few parts over-plucked) brows felt no sensation of burning or pain, that you may expect from a product like this.

Next up, Anastasia has me hooked on her Brow Fix. Touted as “a quick fix for your face”, this on the go brow wax pencil tames the most unruliest of brows. Simply apply the clear Brow Fix over clean brows for a groomed natural look. It can even be combined with your brow powder or pencil to help create a more defined shape. It is up to you and your brow look you like to achieve.

Nu-Brow is $35 and Brow Fix is $19, both being sold at Sephora.

Sometimes I am simply amazed at what technology is doing in the beauty industry. Take this newest nail polish advancement from Incoco. Forgive me if I start to get excited and sound a bit *giddy* as I go on – but I love this product. Love, Love, Love!!!

Incoco Dry Nail Applique is a revolutionary product, almost one of those you can’t believe it until you see it kind of things! So, these are basically nail strips that are applied to the nails, almost like a cling-on type of sticker. But truly there is much more to this product. The strips actually contain a base coat, nail polish, and top coat all in one. Yes – they even smell like nail polish. It is almost weird how well these work.

Inside the Incoco package:
20 nail strips in various sizes
a nail file/buffer
a cuticle stick
a polish removing cloth

I used these strips on my daughter earlier last week, and after seeing how they held up during two hours of basketball practice, I knew I was next in line to try them.

The technique takes a little bit to get used to at first. Trying to figure out exactly which size strip to use, and figuring out exactly how to place the strip on the nail, how much pressure to apply, and even learning how to correctly file off the extra strip. I would say that I spent about 35 – 40 minutes on my first try, applying the nail strips myself. The end result looked perfect though, and my nails were immediately polished and dry. Seriously, it looked like I had just spend $20 at the nail salon, in about the same time, without leaving my house or worrying about smearing, smudging, or chipping any of the polish off on the way home. Amazing!

So, it is ten days later, and I decided I needed a “polish change”. I used the polish cloth to take off the polish strips – simple. This was nothing different than taking off regular nail polish. Then I shaped and buffed my nails, and applied another set of strips. But this time, I knew how to peel back the clear protective film, separate the strip from the backing, and which size I would need to choose for each nail. I finished all of my nails in just under 20 minutes. 20 minutes, people!!! A perfect manicure, with a great color, looking professionally done, and the best part – NO DRYING TIME!

Honestly, I do not see any reason whatsoever to go back to using regular nail polish again. I mean it. You have to try these.

There is a great little video on the Incoco website briefly explaining the whole process, and I bet this will save you time if you watch it a few times before applying for the first time. I, of course, didn’t watch it until after I applied my daughters set and mine!

Right now, I see that these are available at Walgreens and walgreens.com. The price for everything included is $5.99 for a colored set, and $7.99 for a French Manicure set – which I have yet to try, but really want to!

If you have used these, I know you are as thrilled as I am about them. Let me know how you feel, and if you have any applications tips or tricks – though I hardly think it could be any easier than it already is.

Ooh – I can’t wait to try them on my toes!

The mascara formula itself is enriched with Vitamin B5 for extreme volume. And just because the tube is mini, does not mean that the brush is. The brush is on a shorter handle, which can take a few swipes to get used to, but the brush is definitely a very full size, thick, roller brush.

Volume Glamour Ultra Black Cell Phone Charm is in my book of must-have’s, and for a mere $8, it makes a great stocking stuffer too. (hint, hint)

Hey eBeautyDaily readers! Teri here, filling in for the lovely Christina while she is <strike>partying</strike> working hard in Las Vegas. You may have “met” me before. I write Aging Fabulous and CelebLOOK, right here for b5. I am also the managing editor of Splendicity – you have been to the destination for splendid style, haven’t you? Lastly, being the busy gal I am, I have been writing my own beauty blog, Beautiful Makeup Search for years! Okay – enough of my shameless plugging. It really is an honor to fill in for Christina for the next week, and I hope you stick around to get to know me and my daily beauty thoughts.

One thing that I have been dealing with for the last week or so, is a case of severely dry hands. As soon as the weather gets cold where I live in the Northeastern part of the United States, my hands start to get patches of dryness. And as soon as the heat is turned on, which I did just 5 days ago, they start to crack, get even more dry, and plain hurt. Sigh. It is a routine I am all too familiar with. Luckily there are some great products on the market that I am constantly rotating in my hand care regimen.

One product I have been falling in love with is this Retinol Correxion Hand Repair from ROC. With full UVA/UVB protection and a sunscreen of SPF 15, this heavy duty lotion not only softens and smoothes my hands, it helps keep them younger looking by preventing age spots. This lotion even contains some heavy duty ingredients to help fade age spots that are already in existence. I have been trying to use this every morning to get the full sunscreen effects, and like the way that my hands instantly feel softer with no greasy after-feel. No one likes that.

Another product I have just started to use is from St. Ives. It is their Oatmeal & Shea Butter Advanced Body Moisturizer. Initially, I was using this on my body, but after seeing in only a few days how this lotion was working wonders on my elbows and knees, I started to use this a few times throughout the day on my hands. It smells divine, doesn’t burn like many fragrant lotions, and once again, and is non-greasy. And a very large bottle will run you just about $5.

My night-time savior is Aquaphor. Yes, you heard me right. Aquaphor, that gooey ointment, best known for using to heal burns. I use Aquaphor at least twice a week with a pair of cotton gloves over my hands. I keep on the gloves overnight and wake up to hands that you would not think had a problem with dryness at all. If only I could wear the gloves with Aquaphor everyday, I wouldn’t have this problem at all. But with frequent hand washings and constantly battling the elements, the twice weekly treatment will have to do.

If you battle dry hands, no matter what time of year, I would love to know what treatments/lotions/creams you depend on to help your hands.
