Beauty blogger-makeup artists Sophie Uy of Beautynomics.com ( and http://sophieuy.multiply.com ) and Brigitte Santos of Abubots.blogspot.com ( http://brigittelovesmakeup.multiply.com ) have teamed up to bring you Project Beauty: A Basic Makeup Workshop. Project Beauty will not only be an ordinary makeup lesson/workshop, as Sophie and Brigitte, after discussing the topics and teaching techniques, will also be working closely with the participants for their personal makeup tips. It will also not only cover makeup application of traditional makeup, as Sophie and Brigitte will teach you tips and tricks using mineral makeup, a new kind of makeup that is slowly taking the world by storm because of its beneficial qualities!

Project Beauty : A Basic Makeup Workshop Syllabus

I. Discussion on Skin Tones

II. Skin care and Prepping

a. For normal-type of skins
b. For oily-type of skins
c. For combination-type of skins

III. Tools (discuss use of each, show pics (or actual brush) and if possible give sample of brands)

a. Brushes (Face, Eyes, lips…the essentials and add-ons)
b. Eyelash Curler, sponges, etc

IV. Face

a. Discussion of face shapes
b. How to apply Foundation
c. How to apply Concealer
d. How to apply Blush
e. Contouring/ Highlighting

V. Eyes

a. Discuss eyeshapes and how to apply eyeshadows for each type (wide-set, droopy, etc)
b. How to apply Eyeshadows ( discussion plus application instructions )
c. How to apply Eyeliner
d. How to apply Mascara

VI. Lips

a. How to apply Lipliner
b. How to apply Lipstick
c. How to apply Lipgloss

VII. Day to Night makeup application

Makeup application using minerals

Mineral makeup is the latest trend that is the preferred type of makeup by many because of its beneficial properties. Mineral makeup is makeup free of chemicals, preservatives, and unnecessary ingredients, and can even be used immediately after a laser procedure, and would not aggravate or irritate acne-prone skin.

They will give you a run-through on how to use mineral makeup for a complete day/night look!
