Beautiful Friends

I made a new friend over the weekend in Paula Conway, a writer who has a new beauty book coming to the press in October, The Beauty Buyble, which is about the best buys in beauty of the year. She has a neat concept going, as her book will be packaged with, I believe, 50 samples of beauty products from the mass market, prestige and masstige cosmetics companies. Masstige is a new word I learned when reading about Paula – it refers to the mid range cosmetics lines, those between drugstore and department store brands. I imagine Sephora would be considered to carry many masstige brands. Someone correct me if I am wrong, I just might be. 
Along with working as a beauty and travel editor and contributor for many magazines and newspapers as well as a publicist, Paula is also just beginning to blog, at BeautyCupcake, you can find her link in my blogroll on the lower part of my far right sidebar. I hope you will visit her and encourage her – I am sure she is a fountain of knowledge and I hope she will keep up with blogging!
