Beauty Beat: Sunscreen, in January?

sun-snowHow are you doing on your resolutions? One week into the New Year and I am pretty pleased at my staying ability, I must say. Many of my resolutions in the past haven’t made it this long. Ha! One thing you might have forgotten, if you are in a place where it is bright and sunny and cold as ice, is sunscreen. My skin cancer popped up in January, two years ago, so this time of year always reminds me to keep on taking care of my skin, so I am passing the buck. We usually don’t ponder sun damage this time of year, but the sun is still there, and it is still very much able to burn and age your skin. So pack on the moisturizer so you stay soft and unchapped, and don’t forget the sunscreen this winter.

  5. [...] I received a lot of email from my little Glam Beauty Beat article last week about wearing sunscreen in the winter. I feel like I babble on about sunscreen and my skin cancer all the time, but I guess I have been more quiet about it than I thought, because I got several emails from people asking about it. I was diagnosed in January, 2 years ago, so this time of year always makes me think about it, and renew my interest in sunscreen. So here is a little history, if you’re interested: [...]
