Beauty is in (on?) the Eye of the Beholder!

My favorite beauty tip is the importance of moisturizing the skin around your eyes, and so this is where I will start off this blog.
My best girlfriend is a few years older than me, [edit: ok ok, 2 years, 1 month, and 24 days-the point is I love you for helping me fight my future wrinkles from an early age!] and when I was 18 she told me that I needed to start using “wrinkle cream.” I did, and now, at 36, it shows. I don’t know if I could actually say that I look younger than my friends that never got this great advice, but I can definitely say that my skin looks healthier, and in MY opinion, my eyes look a great deal less weathered. [I guess they now know I have been comparing our skin over the years!]
I have tried many products in 18 years, and regardless of what I thought of them individually, I have learned that the real point is–use them. If you have never used them before, start using them. Dig one of the eye creams (preferably one of the newer ones!) out of the bottom of your “drawer d’beauty (c’mon, I know you have one!)”, and put in on, morning and night.
Keep reading, and in future posts, I will help you fine tune the moisturizers that you are using.

It’s so humid and hot here in southern Vietnam that I don’t even bother to moisturize. Maybe I’ll dig out my eye cream from the bottom of my "drawer d’beauty" (LOL) tomorrow.
Central Texas is no better–but heat and humidity and the need to moisturize IS coming up in a future topic
I only use moisturiser that’s suitable for the entire face (very dry here in New Zealand), not an eye cream. Does that count or do I have to buy a specific eye cream?
Oh I am definitely a proponent for eye-specific moisturizers, but just the fact that you are moisturizing at all is great and I bet it shows!
I just want to state for the record that I am a mere 2 years older!! But as I head toward 40 (39 and still can’t understand how that happened), I notice more and more than although I’ve certainly done my share of skin-damaging no-no’s (smoking–no more, though–late nights in clubs, little sleep, adult beveridges–read alcohol–and, I must admit, tanning–both natural sun and tannings beds–although I’ve sworn those off, too), my skin still looks loads better than many, many of my friends that ar my age, and YOUNGER (CC). I believe in a good basic moisturizer, and an eye-specific one, but if money is an issue, at least use a good all-over moisterizer.
Hmm..I am 36, you are 39–sounds like several to me
