Volume Mascara
When I said that I needed a new mascara, I was serious. That’s why I grabbed the opportunity of reviewing the Volume Mascara from Sephora when Sophie offered it. But the thing is I didn’t really know what I had needed in one or if this mascara suited my lashes or if I would actually use it after giving it a try. I guess it’s a perfect set up for a review, huh? I should think so.
Let’s start on the outside. In terms of packaging, the bulky, black tube defines what it is. It quickly screams “volume” in size and colour, which is actually pretty understandable considering what it says it is. It’s clean and simple. You wouldn’t worry about the makeup staining the outside.
Moving on to the actual efficiency of the makeup, calling it Volume Mascara is pretty straightforward, me thinks. You can’t mistake it to do anything else. Admittedly, on the first try, I was a bit turned off by the clumping. I’m the type who prefers the “apply and go” sort of efficiency, so, the need to use a lash separator means it’ll eat up additional time. I had always thought that the brushes of mascaras should do the trick all on their own. However, with frequent use, I managed to get a feel on how one should use it to work to one’s advantage. And, yes, without the need for a lash separator, just the mascara brush.
So, does it deliver? I have to say that in order to get the sort of effect you want for your eye lashes, a minimum of two coats are needed, IMHO. This ought to give you the look that you do have mascara on. But in order to get the volume and thick, lush lashes it said it would give you, you need more than that. Apply as much coats as needed but not too much that you’d get a clumping problem. Once it’s on, you won’t notice it cuz it doesn’t feel heavy nor does it weigh your lashes down. Best bit, I’m not afraid of it ever running cuz it hasn’t even when I accidentally rubbed my eyes one time AND it comes off easily, too.
I am happy about it so far, been using it the past couple of weeks. I reckon it’s good value for money at $6. It’s available at Sephora, of course.

Thanks for this review. I believe Sephora is great for their brushes, but haven’t really heard outstanding feedback about the mascaras
But thanks for this
This helps
No worries. Glad to know that you found this useful.
