If there’s one thing I’ve my mum compliment on, it’s how I do makeup. She apparently likes it to the point of complaining that I have time to do others but not hers. So, in the middle of her “complaining” I decided to do an impromptu makeover session.

Regenerating Serum, OLAY Regenerist
Intervene Makeup, Elizabeth Arden
Clear Smooth Face Powder in Natural, Maybelline
Tea Tree Oil Cover Stick (02), The Body Shop
Flawless Finish Maximum Coverage Concealer (Fair), Elizabeth Arden
Bronze Beauty Color Intrigue Bronzing Powder Duo, Elizabeth Arden
Eye
fafi Eyes Vanilla, MAC
fafi Eyes Hey, MAC
fafi Eyes Pink Venus, MAC
Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara, Elizabeth Arden
Waterproof Mascara in Brown, Artistry
Eyebrow
Shimmer Waves (Bronze), The Body Shop
Cheek
Shimmer Waves (Rose), The Body Shop
BlushStudio Mousse in Soft Plum, Maybelline
Lip
Moisture Whip in Berry Red, Maybelline
Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine in Playful Plump, Clinique
Doing makeup on a 60-year old was challenging (esp the pressure of a very discerning woman!). I was wrestling with loose skin, wrinkles, and uneven skintone. I had a bit of problem with her lack of makeup selection so I ended up using a lot of mine. My main objective of doing the makeover was to help her utilise her own makeup using useful techniques I can show her but I was only able to optimise the Maybelline BlushStudio Mousse, which she loves.

After the session, photo and all, we enjoyed a few more hours of conversation and basically hanging out. Now, looking at her photos, I can’t help but wonder — are we all looking at me 30 years down the road?

Yes! I reckon it’s the combination of the makeover and the sort of special attention her daughter gave her. LOL. Thanks!
Hana
People do notice that a lot, though, for the life of me I can’t seem to see the resemblance! LOL. Glad you appreciated my work! Thanks!
Delilah
I know but most of the people I make over are too shy about having their photos taken, au natural. Thanks!

Connie: Thanks! It’s one of the feel-good moments I get to share with my mum! XD
Rhodz: Glad you appreciate it. Thanks! No, I’m just a hobbyist but I don’t mind going pro if I get to be good enough. Hehe.
She looks stunning, beautiful colors, perfect for her!! She looks so fresh!
I haven’t seen your dad so I’m not sure about this…
Your mom looks more like your youngest brother A. And A and your other brother (whose name I do not know) look a lot like each other but A has a fuller face. Your other brother and you kind of have the same face shape. (I’m one of A’s friends from college.)
