Burt’s Bees

Seems the whole world is loving Burt’s Bees these days, they are everywhere! They have a full line of products from shampoos all the way to foot care, all made with the highest percentage of truly natural ingredients as they can possibly put in to them. With summer coming up, this is the time of year where I start checking out the Burt’s Bees section of the stores more closely as I stock up on my family’s summer necessities. Did you know they have the best poison ivy remedy anywhere? I know that isn’t exactly a beauty product, but poison ivy isn’t exactly beautiful either now, is it? Yuck!
I also am a huge fan of their Lifeguard’s Choice Lip Balm – which is one step up from their regular lip balm (with great ingredients like shea butter, almond oil, cocoa butter and lanolin along with their beeswax) with the addition of titanium dioxide sunscreen, there isn’t a better one on the market, IMHO. Their Lip Shimmers are the greatest – think tinted lip balm, with a very subtle shimmer, of course. At a whopping $3.50, you can’t go wrong. But don’t leave them in the car on a hot day.
They have 3 new colors out this year, the Guava is SO mine!
They have come a long way from making beeswax candles and lip balm in a barn, eh? What are your favorite Burt’s Bees products? C’mon, I know you have some…

You know which ones I like, but I’ll tell everybody anyway. I like the rose water and glycerin toner and the almond milk hand creme. The lip shimmers sound fab, too!
They are – go get ya some, Hsien, you will love them.
You know what as fan I am of the Poison Ivy soap–it has saved Scott numerous trips to the urgent care for a cortisone shot, not to mention all the itching and general misery that accompanies poison ivy, oak, or sumac. I have been a Burt’s Bees fan for quite a few years, and among my faves are the Coconut foot creme, and the Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme. I do love those lip shimmers too (more no-makeup makeup), and the whole baby line.
Thank you for introducing me to that, Suz – that IS awesome stuff for poison ivy! Nice to see you back around, I miss you when you aren’t here!!!

I use the repair serum myself and I am hoping it will help me stay young longer.
