Cibu Styling Products

I am loving Cibu’s hair products — I still am quite addicted to their Pho-Finish hairspray, it really has the best scent of any spray ever, and great, soft hold. Cibu was so kind to send me a package of their other products to try, and my favorite one is the Oso Shimmer.

Oso Shimmer is a smothing solution, and is a thick cream that you rub in your palms, and then run your hands down your hair, concentrating on the ends (for me anyway, that is where mine gets a bit frizzy). Oso Shimmer did a great job smoothing out my frizzies both on the ends, and at the nape of my neck, where my hair is always touching my clothes, and is dry as a bone.

I am most accustomed to using a clear, oily-feeling, silicone-based smoothing product, and the big difference with those and Oso Shimmer is that the silicone smoothers leave your hair a bit oily looking and “piecy,” which is fine if that is the look you are going for. Oso Shimmer is completely absorbed by your hair, and leaves your hair just looking healthy. A little Oso Shimmer goes a loooooonnnng way. And, as with that great Pho-Finish, the scent is great – not strong, and not overtly feminine. This could easily be used by a man, without worrying about smelling like a girl!
