Do I Really Need Foundation?

August 3, 2005 by Christina Jones

Whether you call it foundation, makeup, base, or “that thick goopy stuff that makes me feel like I have a mask on,” it is a necessary cosmetic item for many reasons.

*Foundation smooths out your skin tones by covering broken capillaries, blotches, dark circles and any other slight imperfections your skin might have.
*The right foundation equalizes your skin, so the rest of your makeup will go on smoothly.
*A good foundation will provide you some sun protection, which is very important, especially if you do not use moisturizers with sun protection.

Foundation acts like a primer, a go-between between your skin and the rest of your makeup application that allows your makeup to go on smoother and look fresher longer. Foundation is your friend! :)

  1. Tisco says:

How do I get rid of acne. Can you give any suggestions as to what I can use to get rid of my acne. I have an oily face but it is really very dry after I wash it in the morning. During the day, I need to apply powder again as it becomes very oily. Would be grateful to your suggestions

  2. Hi Tisco…I will answer your question tomorrow (or Monday at the latest) in the form of a new post, so keep your eye on the main page. Thanks so much for stopping by and reading and for your question! I hope to see you back soon (with some good answers for you!)!
