Do you use hair gel?

I know a lot of men use hair gel for their hair styling needs but I’m curious about you ladies. Do you use hair gel to style your mane?

My mum came home one day and showed off this styling product, bench FIX Hair Gel, saying that she hopes it will help her style her short hair into something sophisticated. A hair gel?!, I had silently exclaimed.

Personally, I’m not too keen on using hair gels. I find them too sticky, greasy. I always end up making a mess and needing to wash my hands thoroughly every time I use it. And when I had the product on my hair, it usually ends up feeling icky. And it’s a dirt and dust magnet!

I have yet to ask my mum how her experience is with this hair gel. I’m curious to know if it does satisfy her styling needs. Meanwhile, I’d like to repeat the question I had asked earlier, do you use hair gel? Plus additional questions from your ever curious beauty blogger: is there a particular brand you prefer? Why do you like the hair gel you’re using? Do share! I’d really love to know!

I just started embracing my curly hair. One of the products that works for me is Pantene Blond Expressions Shimmer Lock gel. It’s pretty amazing. No crunchiness, and perfect curls are locked in once it dries.

    Hi there! :)
I normally don’t use hair gels but since my roots are showing (it has been three months since I had my hair rebonded and I have curly/wavy hair), I just borrow from my brother’s stash. Bwehehe. The brand is Beauty Formulas, the Hold 8 variant. It’s very effective in calming my “tutsang” when my anti-frizz serum just won’t do. It’s not very sticky but I still opt to wash my hands after using it.

Is it easy to apply? Messy? Thanks for sharing that! :)

Interesting. I do prefer using hair products that are not too messy to apply. Thanks for sharing! :)
