From recommendations and reviews, this haircare system has created high expectations.
Reading the label of each product, I learned that out of the three, it’s only the Care Shampoo that gives me the usual apply and rinse instruction. The Daily Rinse-Out Treatment should be used after shampooing and before applying a conditioner. And the Intensive Shine Mask ought to be left alone for two (2) minutes before rinsing it out. So, does this mean that I really have to use all three?
One suggestion was I can choose to either use the treatment or the mask, not necessarily both. But to fully optimise the system’s effectiveness, I ought to use all three, yea? Or will my experiment prove that it’s all marketing hype to get you to buy them all?
So far, I find the scent of Elsève very appealing. Fruity, creamy notes. Not too overpowering. I’ll have to see if it’ll work well with my hair and natural oils. As for the packaging, I’m not a fan of pink but it works. A bit copy heavy, though. Long names and too much words make up the description, seemingly like L’Oreal is out-selling itself. Heh.
What’s with the “New Light Reflecting Booster”? Isn’t the Pearl Protein ingredient enough then? Anyway, this pink one is for Dull Hair, Lacking Shine types. I reckon there are two more options. I failed to note which hair types they were for. Perhaps I’ll update you guys the next time I spot them again. Interestingly, you can’t find marketing collaterals on this product line over at the L’Oreal Paris website.
Full review on the L’Oreal Elsève Nutri-Gloss Haircare System, Pearl Protein to follow. Stay tuned for that.
Meanwhile, any of you beauties have tried this haircare system out? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Hi Sasha! I’ve used the shampoo but not the conditioner. The shampoo was so-so for me. It seemed like any other shampoo out there except that it made my hair a bit shinier than others and I also like the smell. Maybe it’s coz i didn’t use the conditioner? I use the Elseve conditioner for dry, frizzy hair- now this one works for me. Lesser frizz and flyaways definitely.
Hello Sasha,
… cheers
I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for a long long time now, and they do wonders for me!i have very fine hair which tends to get wavy in the wind (I am from Mauritius) and Nutri -Gloss makes my hair really silky, tidy and shiny. The smell also is very nice. I will buy the mask soon but i couldn’t find the Daily Rinse-Out Treatment on the supermarket shelf

I’ve only used the hair mask once. I’m working on using it for a couple of weeks before publishing a final review.

I hope you find the hair mask soon. I’m still new at using the product. Notes are still rough but I will publish the final review soon.
I have REALLY long thick hair, so finding hair care that doesn’t leave it heavy is a challenge. I just picked up the shampoo and conditioner last week, and my hair is light, bouncy and shiny. Unfortunately shampoo/conditioner sets that I initially love keep my hair bouncy for about a month and a half, then I have to change brands or strip my hair down with harsh shampoo and start again. I’ll have to wait and see.
Very nice post on nutrition. Hope to learn more from you.
