One of my favorite beauty icons, Audrey Hepburn, once said, “The beauty of a woman changes with the passing years, it is up to her to manage the change she desires.”
She was so right.
Now, more than 55 years later, Audrey Hepburn’s philosophy has enlightened millions of women to the benefits of taking advantage of all science has to offer when it comes to their appearance.
I’m excited to see though that doing so just became a little bit easier.
Check out the NuFace device: It was recently cleared by the FDA as an at-home cosmetic device that safely and effectively improves the appearance of the face through the use of microcurrent technology. The muscles and skin tissues are lifted and toned utilizing the NuFace’s non-invasive and gentle electrical stimulation. “The NuFace device is bringing anti-aging to the next level,” says Dr. Peter Pugliese, a renowned physician and lead medical consultant of clinical studies for the Carol Cole Company. “Where Botox has made the anti-aging market turn on its heels, the NuFace device is a new and innovative skin health product.”
Currently, microcurrent technology is used in spas to lift and tone the face, reduce and eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, improve facial circulation, skin exfoliation, lymphatic drainage, treat sun damage and skin pigment as well as improve product penetration.
Emil Y. Chi, PhD, director of the University of Washington’s department of pathology, performed clinical studies using microcurrent technology. He notes, “The fact that this technology works in harmony with the body is evident. Examination of skin tissue treated with microcurrents showed a 45% increase in the number of elastin fibers in the dermis, collagen thickness in connective tissue increased 10%, and the number of blood vessels increased by 35%. The application of microcurrents to the skin and tissue produced a firmer and tighter feeling on the skin’s surface.”
This all feels like a magic wand, doesn’t it? How does it work?
The NuFace device can be used daily as an addition to a healthy skin regimen. A non-invasive approach to facial rejuvenation, the NuFace device is used to improve muscle tone in the face. The user glides the NuFace device along the contour of the face while a gentle alternating current is emitted through dual spherical probes. In addition, the NuFace device compliments many professional treatments including LED, laser, invasive procedures and injectables such as Botox.
“The NuFacecurrently retailed at spas, medispas, and select online retailers including www.myNuFace.com $379.00 and the kit includes: the NuFace® device, Derma-Gel, Optimizing Mist, Instructional DVD, One year warranty and 30-day money back guarantee. However, ONE reader will win one right now.
To have your chance to win, please share your own tried (and perhaps failed?) methods of following Ms. Hepburn’s sage advice. Deadline November 25.

I am faithful with washing my face and moisturizing. There are a lot of other things I wish I did better…such as wearing sunscreen and not rubbing my eyes.
By taking care of my skin and moisturizing it everyday.
i haven’t tried any of her advice.
moisturizing is what i need the most
I always make sure I wash my face morning and night and I still have such problem skin.
Audrey Hepburn’s iconic beauty is breathtaking and she clearly knew what she was talking about. As I get older I most definitely am evolving my skin care regimen based on what I see happening with my skin. I went from only Oil of Olay daily moisturizer when I was in my teens and early 20’s to now using an eye cream during the day, a different night cream for night, a day moisturizer with an SPF of 15 and a night moisturizer with vitamin C in it. And, I have weekly masks that I do and I try and exfoliate my skin at least twice a week. What used to be a wash and go in the morning has turned into a much longer ritual to get my skin awake and perky looking! I am willing to do whatever it takes to fight the signs of aging before it begins, but the buck stops with topical treatments, no injections, surgery or anything extreme. I would love an opportunity to try the NuFace at-home cosmetic device. It would be fun to see how it works and after what I read I bet it will become part of my skincare routine. Thank you so much for introducing this product to us, and for the opportunity to enter.
Just starting to worry about my skin.. never tried this product but would love to try..
Almost 5 years ago, I realized that as a mom, it is o.k. to take care of myself and to look my best. Since then, I really try to take the best care of my skin and I am always reading reviews and trying out products to see what works for me.
I use good, moisturizing crams on my face.
I’ve never heard of this before; therein lays the problem?
Ms Hepburn is correct about managing the change and I think I’ve done that pretty well. However, I have a BIG b’day coming up in a couple of weeks and I’d love to utilize the NuFace technology.
I drink a lot of water and exercise!
preperation h for undereye bags
wash my face everyday with scrubbies.
moisturizers and lots of laughter…….
I use moisturizers and creams and peels but to no avail. I keep getting older.
I’ve used everything and nothing works!
I follow Ms. Hepburn’s advice by allowing myself to age gracefully.
