Girl-approved hair!

Girls, I am sure you are all very familiar with at least one incredibly sexy man who wears Axe. In reality, chances are they would be hot even without the scent…but it certainly doesn’t hurt.
Due to this – and the fabulous man candy apparent at all their affairs – I am always super excited to receive any sort of invite from AXE to attend their events. In the past months, they have them to celebrate everything from body wash to to body spray – and last night, they went in a whole new direction: Axe hair care!
Held at the super trendy Prive Salon in even trendier SOHO, NYC, there was a stylist on duty styling men in the style of Axe, over pink cocktails and platters of lobster salad and empanadas. (And hot Aussie bartenders!)
As we prefer our men to look sexy but not be all metrosexual about it, Axe does a great job describing a product’s use on the container itself: from clean-cut, to messy and shaggy, or spikey for the extremists.
We left with oodles of samples to share with the men we heart. And even better, FIVE readers right here will win the entire new AXE hair line. This includes:
AXE SHAMPOOS
· AXE Just Clean Shampoo provides a fresh scent and invigorating feel
· AXE De-Glue Shampoo + Scrub features rock crystals and removes the gunky product build-up blocking guys’ game
· AXE De-Poof Shampoo features a hydrating Kukui blend and deflates poofy hair
· AXE Anti-Dandruff Shampoo + Conditioner offers zinc-based dandruff control
· AXE 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner combines cleansing and conditioning to speed up guys’ clean and their game
AXE CONDITIONER
· AXE: Just Soft Conditioner leaves hair super soft
AXE STYLING PRODUCTS
· AXE Messy Look Paste gives hair a messy, just-out-of-bed look
· AXE Spiked-Up Look Putty gives hair hold without all the hard
· AXE Clean-Cut Look Pomade gives guys a polished look without appearing wet
· AXE Shaggy Look Cream gives longer manes an easy-going look
AXE is setting out to prove to men that their lack of attention to hair care and styling is a major turnoff to us women, and conducted a national survey, which led to some pretty interesting results. Basically, guys are mostly clueless when it comes to what women find acceptable and attractive (are you surprised?). The study shows that while “Only 29 percent of guys think hair is very important when it comes to attracting a girl, two-thirds (63 percent) of girls say that guys with bad hair don’t understand that their hair makes a negative impression on girls.”
Here’s some other interesting factoids we learned last night:
“Most girls (72 percent) think guys do not know how to style their hair to its full potential, but 85 percent of guys think their hair is pretty good.”
And: (Check out this – first-ever for eBeautyDaily.com – live-action commentary with additional Axe factoids!)
To have your chance to win one of these five hair sets, tell me the scariest thing your man has ever done to his hair…and how these girl-approved items will help him. (Guys are welcome to enter as well!) Deadline is December 24.

A couple of times, my husband has accidently used too much product on his super fine hair…it ended up looking super greasy! If he was using the clean cut pomade, that wouldn’t happen anymore!
does knowing we are going out in public and braiding his hair into little pigtails with the kids orthodontic rubberbands count- and he is white, so he thought it was funny, I was like put on a hat or get a cut- and he went for a cut the next day
Once he changed stylists and was super unhappy with his cut, which he described as “a haircut a middle aged woman might get.” Honestly, it wasn’t that bad after a week of styling it himself. But — needless to say, he never went to that stylist again!!!
I know he will truly benefit from these Axe hair products. He already uses Axe body products, and I love how they smell. He is going to make FULL use of the Axe Messy Look Paste and Shaggy Look Cream! He is wearing his hair longer these days so styling products like these are essential!
product?
My husband got a hair transplant decades ago that turned out badly. After the operation his face swelled up and I could not even recognize him – it was a terrible time.
He shaved it all off. I kid you not. No reason, he had a great head of hair.
He opened the door and I nearly retched at the sight of his bald head.
My husband has let his beautiful curly hair grow out since I married him in 2003 so this would be an ideal product for him.
I want to win!
Thanks for this giveaway. My husband tried to give himself a haircut because he didn’t have the time to go to his barber. Let me say, it was a first and last time he would try to do this himself. He had a business trip to go on and his hair looked terrible. Last time he ever tried to cut his own hair.
Thanks and please enter me.
He shaved his head!!
yeah hair stuff
Kevin has kept his hair short since birth! Once, he dyed his (light blond) hair a nasty brown that had a weird grey tint. And he was only 16 at the time. Very, Very Odd Looking Do!!
My hubby needs this.
Mine uses so much product on his hair that it’s crunchy…He has curly hair and if you touch it it crunches and he thinks he looks soooo good…He needs help…I hope I win…
he let me cut it!
I like the rest of Axe on him, I should like this too
I would give this to my grandson (or actually, probably split it up so each would get something).
my son decided to try and dye his hair blue with a temp-hair dye… It didn’t work very well and his blonde hair still had a green tint 2 months l8r…
He had it cut in a barber shop. You know that white tire look. My husband has beautiful Three Musketeer hair and I convinced him to grow it longer and to grow a beard. He is now white haired but so distinguished. And the children think he is Santa Claus.
He cut it by himself to save ten bucks. Need I say more? (shudder)
Ugh…my boyfriend is a chronic over product user..gel, wax, you name it, he over uses it. Sigh.
COUNT ME IN PLEASE
My husband used to cut his hair with his own clippers…Awful. Luckily now he goes to a barber. These products will come in handy
He shaved his head.
puts goup in hair can’t get it out . this would stop this
Barber Shop….but he needs hair help!
My gorgeous husband once dyed his crew-cut, jet black hair blond! Only it turned out orange and oh so fugly! He’s not even remotely hip to conditioner and proper maintenance of his hair so these products would help him look and feel more “fresh.”
tried to use just for men. he didn’t cover his hair well and it looked blotchy
My sweet sweet frugal husband. Usually I cute his hair, but I have been sick all month. So, two weeks ago, he took the clippers and attempted to cut his own hair. There are pieces of it sticking up longer than other pieces. I can’t even say it looks like he got run over my a lawn mower, because it is more uneven than that. He does not trust a stylist, they always always mess his hair up. Maybe he has a funky head?
He let me cut it! Whoa! Big mistake. A little bit of hair putty, paste, pomade or cream just might be the thing to stave off the laughter until he can get to a proper hair stylist.
LOVE TO WIN
I bought some hair trimmers for my man for his birthday not knowing that his thick hair has burned out trimmers in a few salons he has visited. He tried to use the ones I purchased him and they got tangled in his hair and we had to cut them off his head with a pair of scissors. He almost had to shave his head bald to fix it! He loves Axe and just recently found that conditioner is not just a girl thing!
got it cut wayyy too short
My guy had a crew cut that did not do justice to his pretty blonde hair.
He wanted to cut his hair and ended up shaving his head!
He got a little too close with the trimmers one time and ended up having to shave it completely off so there wasn’t a big bald spot
Hubby needs this.
The scariest thing he ever did with his hair was before I met him. He had the deep-South Baptist preacher look — parted on the side with swoopy bangs sprayed into place. Luckily that was 20 years ago and I’ve moved him forward from there. Your styling products will make it much easier to stay on the right path.
my boyfriend has very curly hair and decided to get a mohawk on thanksgiving. looks terrible.
He did nothing, but his hair is very very dry. That giveaway would make it more beautiful.
Oh gosh, this is embarrassing, but years ago he had a mullet! My man has a touch of dandruff, so I think he might benefit from the AXE Anti-Dandruff Shampoo + Conditioner.

My husband keeps his hair bald or almost bald. In 2006 when the Spurs lost the Mavericks in the playoffs, he said that he wasn’t going to cut his hair until the Spurs won a Championship again.
So he grew his hair out for 14 months until they won the title in June 2007. By that time he had a full blown afro. It was so large – almost clown-like. I would try to smash it into a hat just to go out in public with him
My husband hasn’t done anything yet; but if he ever cut his hair short, I would be mortified and probably bawl my eyes out.
My hubby got so frustrated with his hair one day that he shaved it all off!! He kept it like that for awhile but soon grew tired of the half hour shaving every morning.
Is this good for bald?
Right now, my husband has purple, spiked hair. Maybe a gift hair products will soften the blow when I tell him that it looks awful.
Cut way too short !!!
He wanted to suprise me and dyed ( at home)his brown Hair blond … well it had a greenish tint and we ended up in the Barbershop coloring it back to brown
thanks for this great contest!
He shaved his head..My wonderful husband is very handsome regardless tho
thank you

Well, he tried to cut his hair himself, need I say more. I think he would love the depoof shampoo.
