Globe Week Beauty Roundup

Guess what – this week everyone is talking about the Golden Globe awards. Most of it is fashion review, but Elke has a great review of the Globes on the Beauty Newsletter from her standpoint as a makeup artist – she is right about everything, except she thinks Gwyneth got a lot closer to a good look than I did. Yuck. That was possibly the ugliest dress, maternity or otherwise, I have ever seen. Nikki, at b5media’s Her Accessories, has an article about hair accessories at the Globes. On a related note, Agathe attended the Oslo awards last weekend and wrote up the trends that she spotted there.
Flat Iron travel trauma is the story of the week at Beauty Addict. I hate it when I break my favorite (and expensive!) things! She also has some great travel beauty tips this week. For the life of me, I do not know where exactly the moisture goes that leaves you in an airplane. If anything, I would think you would stay moister with all of those people breathing all around you!
Also here at b5media, S.P. at Aging Fabulous is talking about all kinds of things regarding aging beautifully as usual, but my favorites are about self tanners (a lot of people love Neutrogena’s Instant Bronze), and the Hot Chocolate Meditation. What is not to love about that??? Mmmmm!
The DeLush gals give a great review of Revlon’s new ColorStay foundation with Soft Flex. I think I will give that a try. I like the old Color Stay (I actually use it to cover blemishes more than anything), but it did have sort of a “tight,” mask-y feel about it. Charu at WomenLifestyle has found the cutest nail dryer ever, The Blow Monkey.
