Go Forth and Smile!

Have you tried GoSmile yet? I am a tooth whitening junkie, myself – I haven’t talked about this much here at eBeautyDaily, mostly because I am not totally comfortable with the fact that I wasn’t damaging my teeth and surrounding gum tissue with all the whitening products I have tried. My teeth are a little on the sensitive side, and I honestly felt like I was making it a little worse using some of these products. I have used almost all of the brands that have the gel that you squirt into the mouth guards and wear around for 20 minutes or so – Rembrant, Crest, and a few others that their names escape me at the moment. They all work – but, like I said, they all made my teeth feel a little sensitive over time, and the sensitivity seems to be permanent.
A month or so ago, I bought a small kit of GoSmile – which contained several ampoules of their whitener, and a sample size of their nighttime toothpaste. None of the tooth whitening products are particulary inexpensive, and GoSmile honestly is a good bit more expensive than anything else I have tried, but I truly did like it. You use one ampoule per whitening session, and it is a contained little system with a brush on one end that you use to scrub it into your teeth. It is a little hard to describe, but Sephora has a video, here, that will show you exactly what I mean. You don’t have to get it anywhere near the gumline, and there is no overabundance of gel to overflow there. That is what I like the very best about it. And, oh yeah, it whitened my teeth very nicely.
There are a number of other interesting features about GoSmile:
- The breath freshening aspect of GoSmile is amazing – you feel like you have brushed your teeth with an extraordinary toothpaste when you are finished with your daily session. Minty fresh!!!
- The portability of GoSmile is very nice. You can carry around the ampoules in your purse, and use it when and where it is convenient for you. No fuss, no muss.
- The maintenance ampoules come in several different flavors, which I haven’t tried yet, but are peach, pear and mint. I have to say, I am intrigued by peach and pear, and will probably try those next.
I reordered GoSmile earlier this week, and ordered the full starter kit, the one in the picture above – for $89 at Sephora. I will update you on how I feel about it, but after the samples I used, I really think I am going to like it.

I’ve seen this product all over the place, but have been reluctant to try it because I have a couple of crowns. Do you think it’s still an option?
I believe I read in some literature somewhere that it is safe for all sorts of teeth – real, fake and otherwise.
I can’t wait to get it in the mail!
I tried GoSmile this summer and I was unimpressed. I didn’t notice a dramatic difference in the whiteness of my teeth. I did like how portable they are and they did freshen my breath but a good stick of gum can do that too. Another thing that alarmed me about Go Smile is that I was squeezing it to get all the liquid out and a small piece of glass came through the plastic case and punctured my finger.
Ouch Sarah -thats not good! Fortunately, I am not having the same results – that intense mint flavor is obviously one of the touch up variety, because the vials in the kit I ordered, the solution is just barely minty. It is also doing a great job whitening, I am on about day 4. I will be sure and be careful about the glass though!
Big EH for gosmiles. Yeah it kind of works, but $89!!?!? I just tried the Dr Collins All White line from dentist.net and it was much more effective, and at a much better price. For portable care, I use his cleanpiks which are tiny, effective, disposable and won’t break the bank if you leave them somewhere!!
