Happy Belated Birthday to eBeautyDaily, and WOW What a Birthday it Was!

This weekend was the 2 year birthday of eBeautyDaily – we started out as The Beauty Blog at AboutWeblogs.com, then merged with b5media later that year and took on our new name. Anyone still around from way back then? This was one of the first beauty blogs out there on the internets, a badge I wear with true pride.
I had discovered blogging via AOL Journals several years before that, and had played around with that off and on, but somehow ran across About Weblogs in my internet addiction. Shai had a call out for new blog ideas and bloggers, and I thought – wow, this awesome women-only network and they have everything under the sun, but no beauty! So I emailed Shai, and on July 27, 2005, eBeautyDaily was born. Touching, eh? *sniff*
Anyway, I was at BlogHer over the holiday weekend, so as is my usual bad habit, I didn’t post. I am so bad. I appreciate you all coming back, I really do. LOL I had the most amazing time meeting live and in person some of my favorite people here at b5 and beyond (Mary Jo, Elizabeth, Leora, Arieanna, Liz, Robyn). Truly it was an honor to meet and get to know just a little better all of these super fine women! Along with a stash of b5media tshirts and pens, I brought them a couple of big bags full of makeup and beauty goodies that I have accumulated here, so maybe if they loved some of them, you might get to hear about it.
You know I don’t watch much TV – all but one show. Anyone? Yep, Project Runway. Love that show! Well, Saturday night, Chloe Dao was at the Dove cocktail party helping us all make some fabulously stylish t-shirts! She was absolutely just as sweet as she was on PR – she took lots and lots of time to chat with us, and what an amazing honor it was to meet her – she was an absolute doll! So, that was how I spent eBeautyDaily’s wonderful birthday, and a wonderful birthday it was. Big thanks to Chloe, the amazing, beautiful and sweet Dove PR team, BlogHer, and all my friends for making BlogHer 07 an amazing retreat! And thanks to you all who keep on reading and telling your friends to read, for keeping eBeautyDaily alive and kicking at the ripe old age of two.
Happy Birthday, eBeautyDaily. Wow. Two gloriously blissful years, eh?
Congrats for taking beauty blogging to where it is right now. And for being one of the pioneers!

Ha ha Liz – that might have been fun! I sure had a blast spending time with you even *without* the drunken tunes! Hsien and Shai – thanks. Without the two of you, I am pretty sure I might never have stuck with it. Love all you gals sooooooooo much! *mwah*
