Houston Beauty

I don’t usually bitch this much (ha), but geez. I am now in Starbucks paying by the hour. I had such grand catch-up plans too. I took that fabulous week off last week and missed Project Runway cause my hotel didnt have Bravo. Stupid hotels. :) I have lots to tell you about this week, but you are just going to have to wait until later this afternoon, after my Sephora spree. I will say that we had a great trip, and for the first time in my life, I managed to go to the beach, with my family, and I was enough of a sunscreen geek that not a one of us burned. Not a one. Not at all. That never happens.

I have been trying some new things this last couple of weeks that I have to tell you about – my friend LotionBarBunny at Gotta Spa has been asking about Murad – and yes, I have been trying that, some more products from Product Body, and some great things from Maine Shave will be coming up as well. I am in love with Paul Mitchell’s newest Express products and a new pure and natural shea butter product. Oh how I love shea butter! So anyway, there is some stuff to tantalize you until later on, there is gobs more to talk about too, and please do be patient with me for the next couple of weeks – my high school reunion is in a week and a half, and that is going to take me out of town YET again, and I am staying with my mother on dialup, which is only just better than that crappy RoadRunner at my hotel last night. :)

Until later then… hope you are having a wonderful day!

  1. Congrats on the Allure article – such an accomplishment, especially from a magazine!

I can so feel your pain about the traveling, etc. We just got back from two weeks at the beach with no internet (or even tv). On the 5th day, I had to find a Starbucks for internet to check out what was new in the world, and made my way there almost every night therafter. We were away in a different area last night, but thank goodness our hotel had wireless internet which worked great and FREE!

Well hurry back, girl. Your page has been all fussed up since you were at the Road Runner Express. All your lines and margins and links and stuff are all outta whack. (go read 44 to catch up on pr. it’s a riot over there.) Did ya buy rare minerals at Sephora?

  3. Shadowcat says:

I feel better now that I know someone else likes beauty products as much as I do.

  4. Amanda says:

WTG, chickie! Congrats on Allure, glad your vacation was good (and no sunburns are a HUGE bonus!!), and I’m really looking forward to seeing you guys next weekend.

  5. Thanks so much BMS – sounds like you have been having my travel luck – lets just stay home from now on, eh?

Gail – yes I did get rareMinerals – and so far so good (only 2 nights though, so will get a better opinion later). Now that I finally saw PR, I will definitely check out 44 :)

Shadowcat – thanks for the comment, I do love all that beauty stuff sooooo much too!

Amanda – see you in a week! Can’t wait! (Yep, more travel in my future – ugh.)

  1. [...] As I mentioned in the comments of an earlier post, I have been using RareMinerals from bareEscentuals ($60, available at Sephora) for I guess about 3 weeks now – and guess what? I really do like it. I really don’t know how it doesn’t clog my pores, but it doesn’t – in fact, my skin is looking better. And I love love love the color at night – even if it is only me that I don’t scare in the morning, it really looks nice, and although I am using the tan color, there is no mess on my pillows in the mornings. I don’t know how that works either – maybe I sleep on my back all night and don’t rub against my pillow – but it does. This is great for anyone who wants a little nighttime treatment – and even better for someone who actually has overnight company. [...]
