I cut my hair last night…

My friends always think this is yet another wierd thing about me funny, but along with everything else I do for myself, I cut my own hair too. I have this really bad habit of getting my mind on something new, and I just can’t/won’t wait to make an appointment and go let someone else do it – this is probably a named disorder, but I don’t know what it is (OCD?). I go to the hairdresser about once a year to get everything evened up and straightened out, but usually my work isn’t too bad (I have been doing this for about 20 years now). This sometimes proves to be an issue when I do things like I did last night, cut about 6 inches off of it, taking it from about my braline to the collar, but all turned out well this time, I think. I usually don’t take style inspiration from Anna Nicole Smith, ha ha, but I saw her recently and her hair really was cute. Mine was long and stringy looking, and hers was shoulder length with a few long layers and was cute and sexy looking. So now mine is too. Ha!

You’re so funny! I used to do that too until my hairdresser told me that it’s typical of women to change their hair first when they are wanting change in their life. That isn’t the case most times I’m sure, but now since he’s told me that I am freaked to think that if I cut my hair everyone will assume my life is miserable LOL
I just got my annual haircut in November LOL The rest of the time I do my own color, highlights etc. I went to nail tech school and all I have to show for it is the discounted products I get
Would love to see a pic of the haircut though
I’m always wanting change…I think every hairdresser I have ever known would tell you that. Hair, to me, is not the revered thing that lots of people consider it. I love it because no matter how much you change it, it always grows back. And if not, there are very cool wigs around these days!
I’ll get a pic as soon as I find someone over 11 to make sure it is ok in the back. LOL
BTW, how is your hair surviving the well water these days?
My hair is looking great as far as the rust goes. Now if I could just figure out something that would take care of this big ole grey thing I’ve got growing on my head LOL I feel like Lillian Munster
LOL Oh you have that too…I call mine the Morticia Adams. Except I have 2, one on each side. Lovely, arent they? At least you don’t have Lillian + Rust anymore.
i wanna see a photo.
photo! photo! photo! ….
Ha Glo – Ill get one for ya…will be a day or so though.
You have to pay about $100 to get your hair cut in Norway (I really don’t know what it costs elsewhere). On my budget I have to have my boyfriend cut it. I cut the front, he cuts the rest while I’m yelling at him for doing it wrong.
My hair is never perfect, but at least I have money for food.
If you can make it work I want to know how!
OMG Agathe – that is crazy expensive! I’m working on gathering a few resources and I will either email them to you or post them here. I’m not sure about posting them here, cause I don’t want anyone to make a huge mess, but I think you could get it figured out, no problem. And that is a great bf you have putting up with you yelling at him, and not REALLY making a mess of your hair. Hee hee! Will be in touch
I’d appreciate some pointers, thanks.
My boyfriend says each time that it’s the last time he will cut it, but he’s too sweet to actually go through with his threats.
here in the philippines, you can get a haircut for 80 pesos only, that’s around 1.5 USD. and if you go to those salons offering discounts to students, you’ll get one at half the price. full service (shampoo, blower, some massage).
