To kick off the month of independent beauty companies here at eBeautyDaily, I want to talk about really my favorite indie beauty designer, Beth Bender Beauty. I have talked a good bit about Beth’s products over the last year, but once more never hurts, especially when Beth has some fun new things to promote for the summer. First, a little information about Beth Bender herself. Beth is formerly a makeup artist for Bobbi Brown, who, while on duty and drawing gorgeous cat eyes on everyone, came up with her great idea of the cat eye stencil (and the cat eye stencil WAS indeed a great idea!). After some time working on film and television in Los Angeles, she moved to NYC to break in to beauty in the Big Apple. She has since returned her company to LA, and has expanded her product line into eye shadows, cheek and lip color and more. Beth blogs about her line and makeup artistry in general at Beth Bender‘s Best of Beauty Blog. Now, lets get to the goodies!
Starting with my favorite:
Remember the superfantastic Get In Line Eye Kit? How could you forget my fabulous Cat Eye video (HA!)? Well, Beth Bender Beauty has a BUNCH of different colors out in that kit coming for summer. Purples, rich browns, grays – really I thought the first one was absolutely perfect, but each one of these new shades are amazing too. Must. get. purple.
Also new at Beth Bender:
The Girl on the Go Travel Kit: One navy liner, 2 shades of blue mineral eye shadows, one blush and a liquid lip glaze in Sky High, a soft pink/beige – $39.
Lip Love: a twist down type of lip balm/color/glaze with a built in brush, Lip Love contains avocado butter, jojoba gel and oil. Available in 4 new colors for $14.00 (I can’t find this link yet, hopefully it will be available on the site soon!).
A new eye color trio is also available, Sexy Eyes Evening – a trio of colors from a deep navy blue to a lighter shimmery silver. Gorgeous! $32
This is a fun video from Beth about her smokey and cat eye stencils (which are worth the price alone, without the shadows).
If you love to support indie companies, like I do, Beth Bender is a wonderful one to support. She truly has a great product here that is useful for all of us makeup junkies. I have mentioned before what a doll Beth is, and it is such a pleasure to support her, it really is. In addition to all of the goodness above, Beth will be donating 15% of her profits through the end of July to the American Red Cross, earmarked to help the China earthquake victims. I do so love shopping for a cause, don’t you?
