As a minor update in Aly-land gossip, I am no longer going to Mexico next week. I am now going to LA (my favorite part of America, anyway!), and Mexico in two weeks.

It’s a press trip, so while fun in the sun is on the agenda, I will be spending time in meeting-like activities and formal dinners. I will need to look my best!
A great kit to get all of my travel face essentials is Laura Mercier’s Flawless Face.
It’s awesome: It has foundation primer, illuminating powder, and everything else you need to keep your oil-free foundation needs covered, complete with zippered travel case.
So, I am set. Somewhat. Now I just have to figure out every single other element of my trip.
I’ve been eyeing this kit for a while, but unfortunately they don’t have a color for dark-skinned people.
