Lip Fusion XL Redux

I have had every intention of reviewing the Lip Fusion XL for you this week, but I really have not been good about using it, so I am not quite ready with my opinions yet, but I did want to let you know something I have found out about it in case you are using it and not thrilled with the results. In the product description, this is an important thing to realize:
Designed to work in synergy with the body’s natural water, lips get optimal lip enhancement from two intense naturally-occurring fillers in one powerful, pout-perfecting formulation: Patented dehydrated marine collagen-filling spheres(tm) penetrate skin’s surface on contact, then seek out body’s natural water, and rehydrate to instantly plump and smooth lips.As we age, the amount of HA produced in the skin is significantly reduced. Patented dehydrated hyaluronic acid-filling spheres(tm) have a remarkable, sponge-like absorbency that captures the body’s natural water, causing spheres to swell a dramatic 50 times larger for maximum hydration and long term plumping effects. Once LipFusion XL is applied, lips swell continually for hours to visibly “fill” lines, boost volume, and keep lips lusciously moist. Plumped pouts look and feel fuller, smoother, and full on sexier.
So, in my mind, which is admittedly not always correct, in order to get maximum lip plumping, your body had best be fully hydrated. Yet another great reason to drink that water!!! I do think that my body, prior to a couple of days ago when I made my water drinking pledge, was a little dehydrated. I was not all that impressed with the Lip Fusion XL. However, I used it last night, and did notice that it was doing a better job. The reason I am not “quite” ready with my review is that I want to try it at nighttime, and I keep forgetting to put it by my bedside table. I read this review of it on Amazon:
[...]last night I first exfoliated my lips with a dry toothbrush and then applied an extra thick layer of lip fusion. My lips swelled up more than they ever have before and I woke up to fuller lips this morning. Perhaps the exfoliation allowed the product to absorb better. [...]
So, I am fully intending on giving this product a good trial before I make my final judgement call. It will have to be quite good to justify the $50.00 price tag. Especially when the non-XL version is a much more palatable $36 (from Amazon).
