Makeup Quickie: Fastest Way to Put on Eye Shadow

Who else here spends a whole lot of time putting on eye shadow? Gawd. That’s one part of makeup application that I dread doing simply because it usually takes up a lot of my time (yea, amateur!). Sometimes, I want to skip this part esp when I’m in a hurry.

Can you imagine my surprise when I came across this thing over at Sephora? It’s one fast way of putting on eye shadow! It’s the EyeEnvy Eye Shadow Appliqués by ColorOn Professional.

What it is:

Designed by a celebrity make-up artist, the ColorOn Professional EyeEnvy Rhapsody in Grey Kit contains peel-off mineral cream eye shadows that are 100% hypo-allergenic, long-wearing, and crease-proof. With stunning colors and avant-garde designs, these appliqués fit every eye size and shape and can be applied in minutes.

I found out that each box comes with five pairs of eye shadow appliqués, one jar of GetSet setting powder, and one powder application brush. It also has a step-by-step instructions with application tricks and tips included in the kit.

Suggested Application:

* Close your eye and center oval on lash line, holding in place with index and middle finger, making a “peace sign.”

* Gently rub the back of the appliqué with your free index finger.

* Be sure to smooth over entire lid starting from the inner corner of the eye working outward and up.

* For a lighter application, gently tap the back of the appliqué.

* Slowly peel back the appliqué from eyelid and set aside.

* Use different fingers to gently tap and blend each color to your desired look.

* Use one finger for darker shade and another finger for lighter shade.

* Note: For avant-garde designs such as leopard, camouflage, and zebra, avoid blending altogether to preserve intended design.

* With GetSet Powder and brush provided, sweep the powder over entire lid and you are “all set” for gorgeous eye shadow that will wear all day and night without creasing, smudging or the need to reapply.

* For naturally oily lids or water and/or sun exposure, apply a heavier coating of GetSet Powder.
