Mary Louise Parker: Hot at the Emmys

Mary Louise Parker is pretty much always adorable, but tonight in that ridiculously hot deep purple Zac Posen dress? I’m just wanting to be her.

If you want to steal her look, her face was done by Tina Turnbow for Maybelline New York, who sought to play up the colors in Mary-Louise’s dress by giving her a dramatic yet classic smoky eye, blushing pink cheeks and nude lips.

As the eyes were the most standout part of this look, let me start there. Tina’s inspiration was the opal-toned smoky eye she created with Maybelline New York Expert Wear Stylish Smokes in Amethyst Smokes.

To do this, Tina used all four shades in the palette. This totally helped to add to the drama, and worked perfectly with her creamy skin and dark hair.

On the lashes is my all-time favorite mascara: Maybelline New York Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner in Black on the upper and lower lash lines. This is layered with a newbie to the Maybelline family, Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara in Very Black.

I’m also loving the trend tonight in barely there, neutral lips – we’re seeing it on lots of the starlets!
