My Skin Care Routine – November 9th, 2006

After writing the Beauty Beat post the other day, I thought I would start writing down my routine so you all will know what I am using (do you care? who knows…LOL). Anyway, here goes the first one, will update with a new post when things change (which they do, fairly frequently).
I am pretty happy with this particular combination of products, my skin really looks phenomenally better than it did this time last year. My constant battle with blackheads and whiteheads is at a bare minimum.
My basic morning skin care:
- Scrub with the miraculous Clairisonic Skin Care brush. When I say miraculous, I really mean miraculous.
- Jan Marini Skin Research – Bioglycolic Oily Skin Cleansing Gel
- Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil Controlling Astringent
- Obagi System Professional-C Serum (evens out skin tones, scarring, and makes my skin altogether brighter and clearer)
- Relastin Skin Revitalizer
- Relastin Eye Silk (love both of these)
All of these morning products are available at The Skin Store, with the exception of good ol’ Neutrogena – available at drug and grocery stores all over the place, or at the fabulous drugstore.com, if you love them like I do.
My nightly skin care is the same at the moment, with the addition of bare Escentuals Rare Minerals, which lives next to my bed, and I apply it after I crawl in. Love this product – it lasts a long time, making that $60 not quite such a painful price to pay.
i care and i wanna know. he he. thanks for the info.i’ve got white/blackheads problem too. i wa never particularly picky with facial products, i can use whatever no problem. but as we “age” i guess we have to be choosy and not be lazy anymore with beauty routines. so I am pretty happy and contented with the Mary kay product line.
I’m a skin freak so I always want to know what people are using. I luv Obagi. It’s great stuff.

Ohmygosh Christina…you would be horrified if you knew my routine. But I’m thinking that it’s about time for me to start caring…

Cyndi, I had the same thought, if I don’t treat myself right, who will?
The Clarisonic Skin Care Bursh sounds amazing, but it’s out of my reach for now. I’m a working mom, so I can’t spend a lot of dough. For now, I’m using the Olay Regenerist line but I’ve seen commercials for a new Olay line which seems to be more advanced than Regenerist.
I’m in full agreement with Delphine and Cyndi. It’s time for some self care. Not only do I want to tone up my bod, I want to do some fine tuning to my mind and attitude as well. It’s time for a mind, body and soul makeover.
Hi, it would be interesting if you updated & stated if you are still using any of those products, now that would be a good recommendation.
