2005 Food Pyramid

Now that phase 1 of the pig out season has gone by for just about everyone on the planet, and with any luck all the leftovers are gone (the good/bad ones anyway!), it is a grand time to talk a little bit about healthy eating.

In order to be as beautiful as you can be, you must take care to provide the nutrients that your body needs. For instance, if you don’t drink enough water, your eyes will lose their shine, your skin will lose its elasticity and just hang there and you will generally look the way you will feel, which will be crummy. The same holds true when talking about eating the right foods. The good ol’ food pyramid, which has been redesigned for 2005, although at first glance is a bit confusing, is a great way to see where your daily needs are for nutrients and where they should come from. Try choosing more natural and less processed foods, and adding a daily vitamin for all around better health and as a result, a more beautiful you. At the very least, you will feel more beautiful, and that is what it is all about!
