RIP Liz Claiborne

Fashion Designer Liz Claiborne passed away in NYC at the age of 78, from an undisclosed cancer.
Liz Claiborne was the first female founded company to make the Fortune 500 list, and really was probably my first introduction into fashion. I have always been a fan – you will be hard pressed to find clothes that fit the female body (the REAL female body) as well as hers do. I am sad to see her go, although she hasn’t been a part of the operations of the company for a long time now. Rest in peace, Liz, you will not soon be forgotten in this world.
My first real purse was a Liz Claiborne. It was rectangular with tan trim and the LC monogram canvas. I loved it and used it for years.
