Happy Tuesday! I hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day and had a relaxing day off (and remembered your loved ones too of course!).
I just found the niftiest thing – if you aren’t a teenager dealing with acne, or God forbid, a nearly 40 year old woman like me battling it, you might want to pass this post on up. But if you have the same issues as me, and are always looking out for the miracle product, there is a new and probably great one on the horizon.
Check out skiniD, from Neutrogena Dermatologics. I really love Neutrogena, they have always done me very well, and I am really excited to try this new line, available only online or via TV ordering. Fun! Anyway, hop on over there, click on “Lets Get Started” and they will ask you a pretty short and easy series of questions to determine your skin type, your lifestyle, and how you are used to dealing with your skin on a daily basis. At the end of the 5 minute survey, they will show you the right products for your face (3) and give you the opportunity to purchase them. There were three products recommended for me, totaling a whopping $39 bucks. Nice mid range pricing and definitely worth a try. I will let you know my results soon! Let me know what you think if you give it a whirl!

I really wanna try this. It’s a bit pricey though. Do you know if they have special formulas for sensitive skin? Looking forward to hearing yoru verdict!
Hi Christina. A boomer with challenging skin issues, I would like to give this a try. Thanks.
Yes, it has several different products for very sensitive skin. You should check the website. Very informative about the different acne types.
if you’ve tried this could you leave a review because i’m considering ordering this line
thanks : )
Had trouble taking the survey. Ended up trying to finish it 7 or 8 times online and then had to call in and go through it all over again on the phone — twice! Placed the order and then got double charged. Then I was called because of my card card was in a decline state. I was told that it was my banks fault. I buy online all the time and never see the so-called “authorization hold” that they claimed that it was. Really hope the products are better than the service and their crappy website. expected more from a company like nutrogena
i want to get rid of my pimples off my face.becausei am tried of it. its running life.i need to get this competely away from my face.
iwant my face to look clear again. iwant my face back to norman for once.
thank very much

DOES THIS REALLY WORK? ANYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM KNOWS HOW SERIOUS IT IS, ALL I WANT IS SOMETHING THAT WORKS!!!!!
I purchased this product, received it yesterday and am sending it back today. The cleanser was super thick and hard to wash off, the acne treatment after cleansing was no better and I was downright scared to try the pads. This product made my skin feel very tight. I’m going back to ProActiv that works well for me.
I have been using skin id for 2 weeks. First i have to say that i have had a very sensitive skin with break out. When i saw this skin id commercial, i decided to try it out like i always did with other acne product.
I have to admit that this is miracle. It is the best acne product i’ve ever used. Now all of the little breakout that used to be all over my face is gone. CLEAR and CLEAN is what i can described.
Before i got into this stage, i have to admit that its really hard to get use to the product. After using the acne treatment and the hydrator, it left my skin sooooo dry but i managed to add some of my own moisturizer on top of that.
Really works! Great product! highly recomended ^_^
i cannot seem to use the web page. it wont let me go thru and do the survey.
The website isn’t working for me either.
it wont let me do the skin id test
I ordered the product, and it was easy and shipped really quickly. I get a lot of black and whiteheads but I don’t think my skin is that bad at all and does not necessarily warrant proactiv. The product came very quickly and is easy to use. However, I believe it is way too strong for me and am considering sending it back. The first time I used it I broke out worse than ever before. But I kept using it. So far it has been decent. The mask, the second step, is good. The pads are too strong and I’m not a huge fan of the cleanser, but the free spot treatment they send is phenominal and the free bag is cute. I’d say all in all try it. I’m not having the worst time with it and most of my blackheads disappeared in about 2 or 3 days.
hey does anyone know how much of each product you get. is the amount of the stuff equal to what your paying for it?
hey, i get to take the survery but the 3 recommended products do not show up. It says error on page everytime i try to do it again
I wasnt impressed with skin ID evaluation. It offered me a basic regimen that can be bought from any out of the box treatment (including Dermatologist). But, the downside being is the moisturizer recommended, for my dry flakey sensitive skin they offered a “very light” moisturizer with salicylic acid in it. Bad bad idea!
this seems like a good product to use and everyone should use this product
SkiniD personalized acne treatment, Not a chance! If the recommended products don’t work the sales agents tell you to retake the evaluation in case you got the wrong products! If it’s too drying they tell you to cut back on the ‘acne treatment’ as its too strong.
And to go from bad to worse it seems like now the SkinID 60-day money-back guarantee doesn’t apply beyond the first refill kit. And did you know that even if you do return the first or second kit for a refund it can take up-to 30 business days after they receive it before they will even issue a refund.
The other regular Neutrogena acne products (@$18.99) are just as good as SkiniD(@$39.90+shipping) at with a new ‘brand’

i want to be a member of skin id
i dont kno if to get it now or not because everyone says diffrent things about it :S
i tried Skin ID and i personally didn’t like it. the 2nd step seems to be the same with every different regiment. it made me break out with small red blisters. its not a good product
After trying every over the counter product, the derm., & Proactive (made it 100% worse) I turned to Skin ID for my 15yr old. She is 07 – 40 – 32. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! Her acne has been horrible for years and she already has some scars. The over the counter & derm prescript worked better than Proactive, which made her get boils, but she still had alot of acne! After 14 days w/ Skin Id, we could tell a difference. She is on her second shipment! It is not a miracle….she still has some acne, but it cleared it up more than all the other products that we have tried. And to be honest…I spend the money on MAC’s compact foundation for her because 1 – Great tone to compliment her skin tone 2 – Covers the blemishes that she still has & the scars. Everyones skin is different, and it is a touch and go with almost any product you use….this one just happens to work for her.
This is the first product review I’ve ever written. I had perfect skin my whole life until I reached the age of 25 (I’m now 27). I got the worst case of adult acne ever. I spent a FORTUNE on products from Sephora, then went to a pricey New York dermatologist who put me on prescription face washes. Nothing worked – NOTHING! With my wedding approaching, I spent a week of my life researching everything having to do with acne (I could write a dermatology book now, honestly) and came to the conclusion that all skin is not created equal. Just because Proactiv works on one person, doesn’t mean it will work on another. The same goes with any product that uses the same formula for everyone. That’s when I saw the SkinID commercial for the first time. Their philosophy of tailoring products to your skin type made complete sense to me. I took the test three times (just to make sure I kept getting the same response) and bought the introductory kit. My skin is absolutely perfect now after two months. I experienced a little drying at first while my skin got used to it, but that was easily remedied with some mild Cetaphil lotion. For all the comments that this is no different than the stuff available in drugstores, I highly disagree. You can feel the quality of the products when you use them. Just be sure to go through the whole routine twice a day. You won’t be sorry. I’ve been posting this feedback on a bunch of sites, hoping to get the word out to fellow acne sufferers.
BEWARE!!! If you cancel with this company make sure you write everything down and keep it. Keep your e-mails, cancellation confirmation number who you talked to. You will need it later. I canceled and they still are charging my account. That has been since April. I used the product about two weeks and it actually made my breakouts worse and when I woke up in the morning my face was very oily.
All I can say is that this company is trying to rip off young women; save your money and buy over the counter or see a dermatologist.
