Smashbox Cosmetics has a few limited edition items going on QVC February 5-9 that you might not want to miss. First of all there is the Ray of Light Beauty Kit:
Also offered is the Bronzing Photo Finish Foundation Primer and Body Lights Lotion:

Along with my order on its way from Sephora is the non-bronzing Photo Finish from Smashbox, which I am anxious to try, as I have heard it is quite good. I lovvvvvvvvvve foundation primers, they really have a way of smoothing out your face before foundation application that even a good moisturizer just can’t do. More about that coming up!
One more Smashbox goodie: If you shop at Smashbox.com before February 15th and spend $50, enter the code VALGIFT3 at checkout and receive this cute kit:

I have combination skin, and I don’t know if its that or the fact that i have a tendency to inadvertantly touch my fact throughout the day, but I can’t get my foundation to last.
Even when I go for a foundationt that claims to stay, it seems to almost slide off my face.
Will the primer help this, and if so is it ok to use on a combination skin, and which brand would you recommend that has a reasonable price?
Thanks
Michelle
Hi Michelle
I don’t think a foundation primer is what you are looking for. Generally, they smooth out the texture of your skin and make your foundation simply look better. I will keep my eyes open for something like that that may work better for you, but for now, I would say to keep trying other foundations, because I am pretty darned sure there is one that will work for you. Ultima II makes a long wearing foundation that you can’t hardly crack off with a putty knife. If I were you, I would go to the department stores and sample some and wear them all day to see what they do for you before making the investment in the one that works. Also, you might consider your moisturizer. If you don’t wear one, your skin may be drinking up your foundation and that is why it is disappearing. If you do wear one, you might try another, as it may be sitting on top of your skin a little too much. Hope this helps some!!
