I really love skin care that has been created by a dermatologist – you can call me a sucker if you want to, but I do think they know what is going on with skin better than the average bear (or gigantic beauty company). The most recent line I have come to know about is Dr. Neil Schultz’s Stallex. The products in the line are not inexpensive, but nor are they outrageously expensive, it is a good mid range product line. I have been using some of the sunscreens in the line and are really happy with them.
They have the niftiest SPF 30 sunscreen that comes in pads, like Stridex! How convenient these are. They also have a great sunscreen for the lips and I have also been using their body lotion with a 20 SPF. Love all of them they are great quality products and would gladly try out the rest of the product line.
Dr Schultz also has a book out, It’s Not Just About Wrinkles : A Park Avenue Dermatologists Program for Beautiful Skin in Just Four Minutes a Day that I am going to offer up as the first of hopefully many monthly give aways at eBeautyDaily. I will take all of the comments left in the month of June and will draw from those (meaning as many times as you comment, your name will go in) on the last day of June, and the winner will get a copy of Dr. Schultz’s book.
How does that sound?

Love the idea of the pads, definitely want to try those.
Hi Doryn! The pads are very nifty and convenient. My daughter went to Girl Scout camp a couple of weekends ago and I put them in a little travel sized container that fit in her pocket – and miraculously, she actually used them (both kids hate greasy lotion sunscreen that gets in your eyes…), and didn’t come home burnt to a crisp!
Sunscreen pads! I think this may be the way I get hubby to wear sunscreen on his face and head (not so much hair there anymore) every day! And $0.50 per pad is really not so bad…thanks again for a wonderful find, Christina!
I’ve been using sunscreen faithfully since I went back to work a month ago, so I’m always interested in finding the ideal formula for my face and arms. These sunscreen pads sound like something my boys would be more willing to use too.
I read the reviews to Dr. Schultz’ “Not Just Wrinkles” book and that looks very interesting, too. (Where was all this good information and products when I was young with crappy skin? LOL)I’m gonna bug you to death this month Christina, so I can win the drawing!
Mum found the Stallex products being advertised in the Telegraph Magazine – never heard of them before but am VERY intrested! Feel myself getting sucked in by it all already! Have suffered with Mild Acne since i was 13/14 am now 25. My skin has always been the bain of my life, am sick of it! Am def going to give this lot a try – fingers crossed!
Dermatologist vs. the gigantic beauty company: I would like to say that although the dermatologist know a great deal about skin. They do not know about the chemicals that go into the making of these beauty products you use everyday. The Dermatologist do not formulate their own products. That’s done by a chemist. Not by a dermatologist.
On the other hand, the big companies have their own formulations, funding for chemical research and the means to back-up their claims.
I would rather use a product that’s been clinically tested. My point is no matter what you decide to use. ALWAYS READ THE INGREDIENT LIST.
Kimmie – let me know what you think about the skincare – I would sure be interested to know! I do love the sunscreens for sure.
Gabi – I would sure like to hope that dermatologists know about the products in the skin care lines – all of them, not just their own. And you are definitely right to read the ingredient list.
Well I have been using Environ for some time now and would not change to anything else. It was developed by a South African surgeon who was concerned about all the skin cancer cases that he was seeing.
My skin is now in wonderful condition and I really like the fact that their day cream has a built in sunscreen so I don’t even have to worry about applying extra on normal days. Of course if I’m going to be spending a day outside then I would apply some extra sunscreen with a hhigher SPF.
I started to use stallex rich eye cream under my eye and I am very surprice how is helping me with my syrigomas. I have been using it for one week now and I can defenetly see the different.
