Summertime Style

WLBT from Jackson, MS had a great article chock full of good info for summer fashion and all around style this weekend (lots of white, and pitch your short shorts!). They also offered some more beauty oriented tips for the summer:

      1. Begin with a great cut. With the right cut, you can have wash and wear hair and you don’t need to rely on a blow dryer or straight iron.
      2. Find the right summer color. Blondes should keep bright and sandy highlights, while brunettes should add some light caramel pieces to their brown base.
      3. Chemicals in pools can harm a hair’s color, so purchase a shampoo and conditioner to protect hair from chlorine.
      4. Keep make-up to a minimum. Use water proof mascara and tinted moisturizer instead of foundation.
      And don’t forget your sunscreen!

Great tips. With a great hair cut you not only look great but feel really good about yourself and your appearance. Nothing beats the feel good factor.

I can look forward to summer. No swimming for me now it’s winter. Always wear a sunscreen, even in winter to protect your skin.

  2. You got that right Gaida – Even though you don’t always feel it so easily, the sun is still out in the wintertime. And since it doesnt feel hot, you might not feel the burn so quickly. That is why I really prefer my cosmetics/moisturizers to have a sunscreen in them, that way I always have it on regardless of whether I remember it or not. Thanks for the comment!

I love the colors for this summer. Everything seems to be centered around the plums and pinks, which work really well for my skin tone! And definitely don’t forget the sunscreen! I went to to a concert yesterday and left it off and I am regretting it today!
