Sun Protection (and Prevention)

I’m about to leave for Los Cabos (like in a matter of hours!) and my biggest fear: Burning my body to a blistery pulp. I’ve decided to treat it as I treat all other things – I poured a glass of wine and am browsing YouTube.

Sxc.hu
In my browsing, I found a tutorial from Kelli LaBer, a makeup artist in Washington, DC, and her advice: The best time to lay out in the sun is between 1 and 4 in the afternoon when the sun is slightly lower in the sky and the harmful rays are shorter. Oh, and wear a high SPF sunscreen.
Thanks, Kelli! I feel way smarter now. This is totally stuff I had no idea about.
Sigh. I’m just going to lather up and hope for the best.

Apply a lot of sunscreen and re-apply after every couple of hours. Good luck and HAVE FUN!
Anywhere in Mexico is like sitting on the surface of the sun! I am pale, pale, pale! When I went snorkeling in Cozumel I came up with a tomato red back and still pale stomach. We were only out there for 30 minutes. Be careful and have fun.
