Do you notice how sometimes it would feel extremely hot and humid just before it rains? You’d often feel extra sticky and icky, wanting to jump into the shower so bad. Perhaps some of you would prefer to run a bath so you can spend a longer time cooling yourself and yes, relaxing all the same.

I happen to chance upon one of the new arrivals over at Sephora, which may just be a good companion for such a bath. It’s one of Philosophy’s scrubs, the Coconut Frosting Salt Scrub.

Apart from the pampering sea salt experience that the scrub offers, it promises to help in exfoliation and rejuvenation of your skin. It also aims to moisturise and soften the skin. Of course, you get all these while you enjoy the scent of coconut frosting. I also learned that this oil-free scrub is a great pre-tan polish for you self-tanning beauties.

Admittedly, I have no idea how coconut frosting smells like but I am curious. I’m not a fan of the scent though the idea can be novel and helpful in triggering tropical atmosphere right smack in your very home. Wouldn’t it be great to bring some Summer memories even for just a while?

Another gift I received over Christmas. Loot from The Body Shop!

I wasn’t really expecting a gift from Rico’s cousin but here we are looking at a shower kit that’s post-worthy. A way for me to say thanks. I really love bath products.

I have yet to give it a try. I already love the scent and am looking forward to the bath experience. The bottle I got isn’t as big as the photo on the right. I reckon it’s the travel size, 60 ml.

So cool that it also came with the body scrub or Bath Lily. It’ll be a nice change from the Skin Sponge I bought a while back.

This kit will prove to be really handy for overnight-ers or any sort of travel. It’ll be easier to pack. Don’t love the practicality of it?

It’s rich and sweet. I can only imagine how it’ll smell on her skin when used. I hope I can get to ask her afterwards.

This is one great idea for a gift. You present her with a fragrant, cleansing shower experience and at the same time will leave her skin soft and smooth after every use. Reasonably priced, too!

When I read the label on this particular beauty product, I was quite skeptical on how it’s going to smell. Ginger and lime combined? Dear me. But, boy, was I surprised with how wonderful the scent was! I really wouldn’t be surprised if the bath experience will truly be uplifting for the lucky gift recipient. Yea, it’s one of the prezzies I’ll be giving away to friends.

I’m truly finding this brand quite a find.

In the Philippines, Batangas is one of the provinces that have sugar plantation and mill. Raw sugar doesn’t smell sweet at all. I remember driving by an Azucarera (yea, we still use some Spanish words) in the town of Nasugbu and was I ever glad for A/C so we don’t have to open the windows. That’s how repulsive I found the scent. Perhaps it’s a different case for people who are use to having that factory near where they live. They are used to the scent.

Anyway, enough about that experience. Let’s move on to the processed sugar. Brown sugar to be exact. It’s my personal choice, actually. I prefer using brown sugar in my coffee or tea. The sweet taste it adds on to my drink is different to typical white sugar. This preference explains my immediate reaction to this particular beauty product Brown Sugar Body Polish from Fresh.

It has the restorative, antibacterial properties of sugar, acts as a great exfoliant and the promise of a scent to die for. I surely hope it’s not a scent you’ll die of. Heh. Sorry, just reminded of the scent of the raw, unprocessed sugar. Brings me to think that perhaps after driving through that plantation, taking a bath with this body polish will help take away the foul smell and leave the best sugary sweet scent on my skin instead.
