Each product I try, I’m a little more addicted to, and the new Lemon + Sage Soapy Suds Body Wash + Bubbling Bath is super perfect for my bath routine.
You know how smells influence your senses? Like some relax you, some invigorate you, some may even…um…create a sense of excitement…

Well, this is a citrus-scentedbody wash, and it’s undeniably stimulating to the senses, but it’s also super-hydrating: it has glycerin, aloe, and vitamin E.

It’s sold as a body wash, but I like to put a drop in some warm water and make a bath out of it. So so luxe!

Aside from getting to hang out with Amber, Felicia, Dina, Sarah, Carolyn, and all the rest of my beauty blogger best buds, we got to enjoy a menu – and an evening – based all around the concept of the blueberry. (You haven’t lived till you’ve enjoyed a cocktail based on a mixture of blueberries and Prosecco.)

But back to the body wash – I must confess I have been SNIFFING it in the shower just about as much as I use it. It just smells that good.

It’s going to launch into stores in June, and is full of Vitamin E, A, and (obvs), blueberry extract! It’s totally delicious – though I swear I haven’t actually eaten it. My skin, however, has absorbed it, and is in full antioxidant glory.

It’s been a few months since I shared my First Impressions on DOVE Beauty Body Wash, Calming Night and now I’m confident that I can give a more objective review.

Finer points of the product are that it did deliver in terms of bath experience and skincare.

Though the act of taking a bath or showering generally means you’re subjecting your body to cleansing, I’m not all too confident that the product will kill bacteria or fully scrape away your dead skin cells or truly clean off dirt and grime. Not to get the wrong idea though, it does provide the clean feeling but not “surgical” clean, if you know what I mean.

Lathering up is not a problem, it produces a creamy lather that’s easy to use and rinse off. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling that it still had soap on.

It’s more focused on the over-all bath experience, IMHO. I love the scent of sandalwood to bits. It does help calm me down after a long, stressful day. It refreshes me and makes my lying on the bed more comforting and relaxing. In terms of skincare, it provides the right amount of moisturisers that will help make your skin feel soft and smooth. Something I appreciate whenever I go to bed. I tend to move around a lot and I couldn’t help rubbing my skin against the sheets, which we all know can cause dryness if done too much.

The moisturisers however seems superficial, like, they’re not being absorbed by the skin. So it’s not really an alternative to actual moisturisers and creams to fully hydrate the skin.

I would recommend that you give this product a go. What I wouldn’t recommend is for you to buy and use it and expect lasting results. If you want to go for a great bath experience, something that will get you through the day (not necessarily hardcore skincare), then this one is a good buy.

Earlier, I met up with my Artistry™ contact to get to know each other better. I had initially met her earlier this week at the opening ceremony of the Philippine Fashion Week.

In the middle of our exchange, we had, of course, talked more about Artistry™. One of the things I found out is a “must-try” rating that the brand’s spa collection has.
